Referring to the announcement, this is obviously inconvenient and disappointing and, in some cases, bloody annoying. However, it is right to be taking such measures and hopefully the problem will be resolved asap. In the meantime, if you don't want to risk your post being overwritten with the position at the time immediately prior to the appearance of the announcemenit, it is probably best to not post anything that you cannot re-produce. Please accept apologies for this inconvenience.
It seems to be a popular choice to not risk recovering the database and just stay with what we can see now and move on. I'll post again as soon as official confirmation is received one way or another.
