You've got **** all to laugh about pal. Until such time as you win another league you're a ****ing irrelevance.
So you want the "competition" to be United up top then whichever team has a chance of possibly challenging them that season? Then everyone else can challenge for other top 4 places? Isn't it better we have more teams that can challenge for top spot? Although a few teams have made poor starts to the season (Arsenal and now Chelsea) There are still at least 3 teams who could put in a good shot at the title. As opposed to a stagnant top 4. Lets be blunt you don't care about competition in the slightest you just want to win the league and are unhappy you aren't in first place just now.
I imagine if we play regularly in the CL we will attract many glory hunting fans and like you become peoples default team.
We had the fans worldwide when we werent in the champions league, you cant compete in that area with us, everywhere else yes, but not in support. City are not and can never be an iconic football club
Jack, you do realise the person you're quoting is some Bristol student who was talking about when he was at school? Ergo, completely irrelevant.
It has always struck me as strange that certain united fans seem to hold such unimportant things in such high regard, what does it matter if a club does not fill its stadium to capacity every week, is a fan who never sees a live game due to finances and distance from the stadium any less a fan than a season ticket holder? I think not.
So it doesnt matter, because it is happenng to you. If it was the other way round you would be goading reds for it. Most blues mock united fans for not being from manchester, is that unimportant as well?? Funny thing is most live in bolton, stockport and cheadle, dumb fecks
No it doesn't matter because it doesn't matter, as i said "It has always struck me as strange that certain united fans seem to hold such unimportant things in such high regard" its like you have to win the league every year and fill your ground every game and if you don't its the end of the world, the rest of us would be over the moon if we were to get into the top four full ground or not let alone win the PL every year. If we get become successful and play regularly in the CL over the next few years we will attract the glory hunters the difference is we wont pretend they are anything other than that and will welcome them.
That thread was several pages long and i cannot remember seeing any united fan disagreeing with the post as not one (other than you) has disputed it here. Why can you not accept the majority of your fans are glory hunters? my lad is a Newcastle supporer (as i have poster several times in the Newcastle forum) he is the only Newcastle supporter in his class, have a guess which club has by far the largest number of fans.
Whatever Jack, I'm not one and that's all I give a toss about to be honest. What exactly is a Bristol kid doing supporting Liverpool anyway, he's just a hypocrite and the irony was lost on him? Anyway, out of interest, why is your son a Toon fan when when you're so avid a City fan? How did that happen?
