I think he said the same sort of things while in charge of Watford, Swansea and Celtic

He hasn't yet said cut me in half and you will see Leicester written all the way through me, that is usually the day before he resigns

Of course it could be that he has found his football home and does not want to leave

Wouldn't have a problem with him taking the United job if he was offered it tbf ... we would have plenty of quality candidates looking to replace him were he to go ... Lamps being one of them, I suspect ... <cheers>

Well I never knew he'd managed Watford.

Went to Swansea from Reading as a coach iirc, I didn't know he'd managed before that.

Issued a statement on the Friday "If you cut me in half you would see Watford written all the way through" by Monday he was Reading manager

Did the same at Swansea and Celtic (maybe not the cut in half bit just in case someone took him up on it)

Maybe someone should actually try cutting him in half and find out.

The honest reason I became a Liverpool fan... Growing up mid-Cheshire in the early 80's. The question everyone asked you in school was "red or blue". Everyone just automatically assumed you were a Liverpool or Everton fan growing up there.

I liked red more than blue so picked Liverpool before I even became interested in football or even watched my first club game. I wasn't technically a glory-hunter, 5 or 6 years old I really hadn't a clue that Liverpool were the best team at the time... But I'm sure the glory hunters around the time influenced my decision.

(My dad is a Villa fan and named me after a Villa legend. I think he really wanted me to be a Villa fan too... <laugh>)

Technically, Manchester was probably slightly closer to us than Liverpool, but back in Primary school no one supported Man U. I'm sure had I grown up a decade later I probably would have been an arsehole binsniffer instead... <whistle> :bandit:

Had an opposition goalie put a chair in his goal when I was a kid playing in the local league. A team of 12yr old white kids v a team of 12yr old black kids is not a fair match-up.
