I was ****ing exhausted after watching that. If we'd have played to the best of our ability, we'd have won. City didn't let us. I hope the points they got gifted at Woodison aren't ultimately the difference
Well I didn't think I'd have to spell it out quite so clearly, but there's always someone. Although City don't drop many points, when they do it's often against teams that you would expect them to beat comfortably. Like Palace, Southampton for instance. So, although their run-in is easier on paper than ours, there's still hope. Is that better?
Both Gabrriel Jesus (45 games ) and Diogo Jota (33 games)retain their records or having never lost when scoring in a prem game.
Much better Thank you Though I did think the lol indicated I was only joking I apologise for causing the extra text
they won't be in it with any luck LFC jinx time. Benfica 0-0 Villareal in the next round 4-0 first leg win Final v real madrid who fold like a 2/7 off suit. 3-0 in the final CL party bus then booked
Agree with a lot of that But I think IF we face Real they might just turn us over again Hope you are right though
People pointing at the Everton/city game as being a possible deciding factor are looking in the wrong place. We only have control of our own games and the silly draws (along with poor officiating ie Spurs, West Ham but we have no control over the refs either) are key as to our current position. Not taking advantage of a 10 man Chelsea also springs to mind. We are where we are and I'm really proud of this team and the sheer effort they're putting in to make this such a close run in. City will falter at some point.
Totally agree with all that I reckon that it will be in August lol I hope they do it before But yeah - we are the only team regularly pushing City - (I suppose an argument could be made for Chelsea) the sad thing is despite how consistent we have been over 3 out of 4 seasons we may only have one PL trophy for it as a return Let’s hope some of the decisions even themselves up sharpish
Chelsea Chelsea are the orginal City. But now they have no pimp, same abomination, different shirt is all. 400m they've done in 2 windows The bank of romans blood money kept them relevant, now look where they are without it
My head is still pounding. It’s f#cking awful and I feel like crawling under a rock for a few days. All for a point ffs.
Thought we were hosed in that first half, tbh, just like we were back at Anfield in October. Thought Fab was all over the place. That said, City's defence is their Achilles heel, and there were several situations in the second half when we tripped over the ****ing ball or hit passes too long or too short, so I came away thinking we could easily have nicked it. All that said, we're still in it, and though it's City's to lose, it'll go all the way into May now, if not the last day. I didn't see that coming in January.
as i said ale for a win or loss was ok but having shots for a draw was always a recipe for disaster. at least this time round we didn't lose to city and then lose by a point. We are a point behind due to salah missing an early pen v leicester. if we coudl actuall defend v top half sides before jany we would be pissing the league.
City will win the title cos of the penalty not given at Goodison. Just like the sterling non offside in 13 cost us. #bentasfuck
well given the scrutiny at the weekend teirney and taylor couldn't do any damage so swings and roundabouts yeah? I mean if Thiago had been shocked when taylor gave him the free and no yellow for hammering KDB I'm sure you must have fell off your bar stool watching it. tierney even ruled out a close sterling offside he could have fiddled. we are lucky that we are big enough to call these guys out before they shaft us.
"Clearly" by about a centimetre. Still, we've had enough of our goals chalked off for similar margins so it's good we got this one.
Or because we couldn't beat United 5-0 at OT, with goals from Keita, Jota, and a hattrick from Salah, and the United fans went home at halftime crying. Oh, hang on, not because of that then....
