That's bollocks. Alexander Arnold can't tackle, and is a ****e defender. Right backs need to be able to do both. He played very well last night in an attacking role, because our ineptitude on the left allowed it. Was quieter when Rashford moved to the left, because he then had someone to occupy him. He's miles from being the best right back in England, let alone the world. But then, it's always the case that Liverpool have the best player in de wuurld in every position, it's as much a cliche as next year always begin your year.
Lol the narrative that Trent is poor defensively is dumb and driven by idiots in rival fanbases and media. This is a guy who was part of one of the best defences across Europe for the past 2 years! But yeah, he makes the odd mistake (shock - he was only 21) and he's labelled as poor. No mention of his good defensive performances. Stick to w*nking over AWB and Reece James lol. Trent is levels above them! AWB isn't good in any aspect other than tackling.
You cannot compare Rhys Williams and Nat Phillips with Lindelof and Bailly. Your 'back ups' to Maguire are expensive centre backs, with a lot of experience and are internationals. Rhys and Nat are 5-6th choice defenders who are literally league 1 standard. And we've had to put up with this for over half a season!
I don't recall ever comparing our centre backs to yours? I'm not remotely interested in your centre backs, other than last night it was clearly an inexperienced pair that we failed dismally to exploit.
So losing Maguire means you completely lose all defensive shape and ability? You had expensive, experienced internationals in defence. This is what LFC have been going through for most of the season and to an even larger extent. Look at Chelsea without Rudiger vs Arsenal - they struggled to build out from the back and were punished.
I don't recall moaning? It quite clear our defensive partnership last night should be good enough. My words. Right there. No moaning.
Good - so we're on the same page. AWB is w*nk, Trent is world class and you lost to a team with no senior centre backs.
Enough already! You lost a whole season because you lost one center back. Trent that you're claiming to be world class has been sht most of the season, and AWB that you claim is shht has had a solid season. Yes, you won a game. But one game does not form a trend. Fact is, Liverpool has put up the worst title defense we have seen in years. The way I see yesterday's game, Liverpool supporters should not be celebrating the result long into the night and United supporters should not be overreacting and questioning every single player. They all stank in that match. Better days will come.
Who is “you’re”? Have I made any excuses why we lost the game? On the contrary, I stated that the team on a whole had a stinker. No excuses!
You must really be hurting after the season you've had to come on here near the end after you won a game. You sad pathetic no mark ****
Some ****ing RS idiot come here gloating after winning a match completely meaningless to us apart from historical rivalry and pride but future shaping in all aspects to them. The loss of CL football to this so called “record breaking” champions would affect multiple aspects such their resources and recruitment as well as dumping egg in their faces. Keane was absolutely right. The RS are one of the few bad champions we’ve had. Simply gutless in defending their title. Their “period of domination” many of their gullible fans proclaimed disappeared as quickly as it had appeared. Lasted for a long period of ...1 season. Their loss of defenders cannot justify this slump. They simply had a very lucky 2 years after a 30 year drought and they already thought they were unique champions. Well they’ve been brought to earth by having to ****ing scramble for points until the finishing line to finish ...4th. What a ****ing comedown for “unique” champions. Some of them are already gloating that they’ve got the CL wrapped up. Nothing new and typical ****ing RS. Just like they prepared the bus top parade and had guards of honour before Gerrard slipped in that fateful match and made history
