Definitely watch it. I was still convinced that we were going to score right up until the last minute. I must be honest, though, I had a sneaky feeling with 5 minutes to go that we might not win. True story. Sadly.
Whatever problems we have Marcelo will deal with them. He is the best coach in the world and a great human being.
Tier 1 the hand is on the ankle Tier 2 the hand is on the knee Tier 3 success you lifted the dress Tier 4 you put your hand upon it then Sunday after supper you ram the ffffer up her and Benzema's transfers complete
Our game plan will never change under Bielsa. Fact. And I'm delighted! You do realise that the 2 expensive international CBs that we signed are both out injured. Our RB played CB & 2 wingers played FB. Our 2 subs were u23s. Apart from our MF signings Raphinha & Rodrigo, everyone else was part of our Championship team. Indeed, 7 of the starters were absolutely average Championship players before Bielsa transformed them. Still like to think we're a work in progress.
The midfield more than defence lost us the game today, the midfield were at fault for the first 4 goals, from losing the ball to not doing their job in the man marking system. For me this year's not about beating the top 6 - 8 teams, it's about beating those around and below us.
It was strange to see tbh, the irony was when we had possession, they were tight on our midfield. But when you had the ball they got complacent. Maybe too focused on the attack they drifted from McTominay and Fernandes. The moment you lost the ball for those first two goals, they were completely out of position to do anything about it.
Well said, if we played a 'normal' style of football we would not do very well. There are teams with far bigger problems than us, at least we score goals. Survival was the only aim this year. Put the razors away and save your wrists, buckle up this rollercoaster has only just got going. MOT
Not seen much of McTominay, feck me, that lad has some pace. We had Phillip's and Klich on 4 yellows and talk all week was about them not getting another before the Burnley and West Brom games and they both played like they were afraid to tackle, no wonder they were hauled off at HT.
We could have scored more but they could easily have scored several more too. TBH I expected us to get well beaten before the game, it was all lined up for it. They hadn't scored many at all all season at home.. Step up Leeds United with a makeshift injury hit/Championship level defence and no midfield to help them out..
This is why I hate football so much nowadays . Its a game of monopoly and not a sport/level playing field.
