If we end up losing Tiote to a top club, does anyone reckon Fellaini would be a great replacement?

It would be tough to get him as he's already at a great club, but if we get a silly amount for Tiote, we might as well spend a good portion on a replacement.

We would need one that's in the same bracket of quality as Tiote, and Mario is one.

He's got great ball control, he's good on the ball at the back and going forward. He's strong and powerful. He's a good goal threat. He'd give us more height to defend against set plays which we really need.

He'd be a great replacement for Tiote.

Who the hell is Mario Fellaini <laugh>

Also he's out of our range IMO, he would only leave Everton for a top club.

If we were to take any players from Evertons team it would be Baines or Drenthe for me. The loss of Tiote would hurt but either of those would improve our squad for the better.

Whatever they'd ask for Baines wouldn't be worth it, I'd rather have Hoilett then Drenthe tbh. He's been better.

Got to be honest, as far as Fellaini and Baines would be concerned a move to Newcastle would be a sideways step.

Rubbish, nobody would be a great replacement for Tiote.

Tiote reminded us why we love him so much today, absolute monster but still hasn't done it enough this season for me. Hopefully he will stay and hit top form again next year.

Tiote's going nowhere. Don't let the media work on you too.

I hatttttte Fellaini, he is a filthy player.
Tiote has to stay, we are a left back and a few top quality squad players away from a VERY classy side

Feillani is absolute top class. All the pissing and moaning from Mackems and others about his agressive style of play does my head in. He is no different to Tiote. They do commit a lot of niggly fouls and often get booked for persistent fouling. But their job is to disrupt the oppos play and they are very effective at it. Class player but if he was leaving there, you'd be looking at Man U, Barca, Real, Man C type clubs. He's that good.

I hope we can keep Tiote but there is little doubt he is a top 4 player playing outside that bracket so we're always going to be vulnerable. We have to hope that our rapid progress will tempt him to stay.

He's the most overrated player in the league, £15m for that heap of ****e as well. I thought Moyes was meant to be good in the transfer market.

Moyes is fantastic in the transfer market and Feillani is a top talent. Don't know who you've been watching Stevie! <laugh> He's the one with the ridiculous wig running games from start to finish like the FA Cup quarter final.

But if we could get them it weakens a direct competitor. (Not that I would want Fellaini). Players "stepping down" from the big four or five or six (team six being that massive team competing for the league and guaranteed CL football next yea... oh, wait, they're hanging on to 8th... but at least they won a cup. Just. And they're going to get the FA cup... final... maybe). I digress.
A player stepping down would not likely weaken the top sides, being deemed surplus, and it's questionable that they would strengthen us.

Wouldn't want fellaini, he seems very average and certainly wouldn't replace Tiote. If he were to leave for stupid money, then someone from France/Holland would do me. Blaise Matuidi, Siem De Jong etc.
