"I understand what it takes in this league to win games." says Mark Hughes on his appointment as Saints manager. Well he couldn't win many games over the last 12 months could he!
Did he screw up that badly with you lot? Your results have hardly improved since he left, have they? Wasn't he actually a welcome relief after Pulis?
The past 18 months have been dreadful, Stokealona was fun for a while. Not all his fault, the board have not helped. Good luck to him and you
We have internal issues but Hughes is to blame for over 18 months of poor results and a failure to address the blatantly obvious. Ultimately it will be a repetition of the QPR debacle, money wasted, high wages and a poor squad. He didn’t take QPR down but he crated their demise - same here. He wasn’t particularly welcomed to Stoke but he did very well with The Pulis squad, his shortcomings were shown when he created his own squad. We’re we glad Pulis went, big split in our club on that. Comparing the two now is like taking Genghis Khan over Hitler.
Sparky is with a better team now i think, The saints have more about them to survive than Stoke at the moment but that is not to say Stoke wont survive as there are twists and turns to come yet and apart from WBA then there are 2 places still available to be taken by nearly half the table....This international break will be a god send to those who need the time to stop the rot and regroup so i expect a hard fought fight until the end where there is still everything to play for and we all need that little bit of luck to play it's part......This will be the most exciting run in ever in my view....
Swansea are safe I think. West Brom are down. Then it's two from Stoke, Saints, Huddersfield and West Ham - with you lot requiring a miracle to avoid being one of the two. I suppose there's a chance of Mark Hughes getting the blame for two relegations this season. Not sure if he'd be responsible for either in fairness. Saints play West Ham at the Dildo Brothers Taxpayer Freebee Stadium on Saturday. Whoever loses that goes down imo.
Swans are nowhere near safe. It takes a fool to think anyone is safe in the bottom half and a defeatist to think they are already down...
