G-R-E-A-T, great signing. Always looked good for Newcastle and has the goalscoring record to back up his performances. <ok>

As long as you can keep him motivated and give him someone top lay off he will score goals.. his exact age you will never know but his quality(if erratic) is there to see. Remember that goal he scored againt tottenaham!! my god

    Sunderland fan in peace.

As much as I hate to admit it, with him being ex-Newcastle, Martins is a good player, fast good in the air. Everything you need in a centre forward. He'll do well.

Good luck this season, and at Wembley.

i think this will be a good loan signing for you guys, fast and for his size he is amazing in the air. Word of warning, can be very lazy and go missing from games quite easily but if he's playing for a contract you should see the best of him.

Happy to see Oba back, bumped into him once and he was brilliant posed for photos and chatted for ages! Just be patient with him
And he'll serve you well, think the quote of scorer of spectacular goals rather than a spectacular goalscorer...strap yourselves in for some dramatic highs and infuriating lows...great talent, play him correctly you'll really benefit!

Personally being a toon fan I cant stand the guy, bigged himself up saying he wanted to stay to help get us back into the premiership then effed off as soon as a half decent club came knocking.

However on his day he can be absolutely fantastic and has a fairly decent premier league record so all in all its quite a good signing.... be prepared for frustrating inconsistency though.

Good luck for the rest of the season, except against us of course ;)
