I’m only going on the basis that the players we loan out tend not to come back. I’m struggling to think of one we loaned out for experience and came back to play for the first team.
Have to disagree with you doc. This Rangers team have been making great progress this last 3 years. Still undefeated in league and in Europe.Do you remember the last time they came to Roland Rd
Just over 10 minutes to go and Fulham are beating Liverpool 1-0. Fulham have actually lost one game less than us. Brighton or Newcastle will be the new favourites to make up the relegation places
My main concern is that a few weeks ago we were saying how we were 15-17 points above 3rd bottom. That’ll be down to nine and we still need to go to Fulham in the next few games. Am I being unnecessarily worried?
Current form we’re 14th Fulham are 3rd we never win in London and West Ham are another team on form then we’ve got Chelsea then Fulham. It’s going to be a scrap to get any points from those three. I’d settle for a couple of draws to be honest with you
I keep hearing how bad the SPL is, but have any of the denigrators actually watched it regularly? Nope, didn't think so. 'Championship quality players' - we seem to be doing ok with them in the PL. Support - the comments I've read on crowds reflect a very, very poor knowledge of all things Scottish - particularly the influence of religion. In any village, town or city, you will find more Rangers & Celtic supporters than those that support the local team. I'm guessing it's much the same as Norn. Pity Davy isn't here to ask. It's an historic thing, passed from generation to generation. Are they genuine Huns & Tims? Are they fcuk. Almost all have never been in a church or pineapple, & most certainly don't portray religion in a good light. In short, their religion is being seen to be in the right thuggish gang. Pure tribalism. Quality of Scottish teams - anyone notice how well Rangers are getting on in Europe? Thought not. Goes against the 'shiite' argument. Possibly their best European campaign since they cuffed us. Twice. FFS, even the mighty Partick Thistle have a 100% record against us! For the record, I detest the Old Firm, just in case you weren't sure. I can't believe I'm arguing for Rangers & Gerrard, but I am. He has made HUGE changes, not only in personnel, but in the way they play. They are quality & are PL quality - believe me. I'd love to hear a coherent, cogent argument that would doom them to the Championship rather than the PL. Suspect I'll have a right good laugh if someone tries. If you do, please look up the words 'cogent' & 'coherent' first. Some of you might be delighted by the fact that Gerrard refuses to speak to the BBC. Can't remember the original reason, but it's most certainly not recent.
I said the same thing weeks ago, when some on here were saying that we were more or less safe. I said that I couldn't see us getting many points against the top 6 teams. We have some tough games coming up and if we don't start picking points up, we could get dragged into a relegation battle. Hopefully I'll be proved wrong.
I think Rangers would be comfortable in the PL. The interesting thing would be having to turn up week in week out. No easy games down here. Got to be on it every game. I think Ramgers have some good players but could they do it every week against strong opposition? The problem in Scotland is the lack of depth. You've got the big two then not alot below that.
We still have to play Sheff utd, Fulham, West Brom, Southampton, Burnley and Brighton. If we get sucked in to a relegation battle then we deserve it. I personally believe we will pick up a few more points along the way.
On paper we've 7 winnable fixture left. Apart from West Ham they're all against sides below us...losing the first 3 or 4 of those and suddenly things would look very different. Expect us to be fine, but it's never wise to assume anything in football.
