That’s the best goal I’ve seen since Town have been at this level. Sad that we don’t have a player capable of that.
We get 35 yards from goal and everything stops, no crosses going in but no ones there anyway, no drive, pace or passion, no first time shots apart from Judge, it seems like a practice match against the second to bottom side we are so poor.
Come on Lambert, there are many formations to get 2 up top.... 3-1-4-2 4-4-2 4-1-3-2 4-3-1-2 5-3-2 Sort it out and earn your salary!
I know we’ve been hit by COVID-19, but you’d like to think we’ve had some time on the training pitch over the last 25 odd days to put some sort of plan in place? Swindon are second from bottom and were without a win in six matches. What is our playing style? What is our patterns of play? This is not a well coached team. This is not a team that is set up to play to its strengths. This is not a team that looks remotely confident on the ball. It’s mostly just sterile possession in our own half, sideways and backwards passing, and then lumping aimless balls upfield. If we had an owner with any semblance of a plan or one iota of football knowledge and passion, Lambert would’ve been sacked already.
Good play from Norwood and nice finish from Judge. Norwood has made a positive impact off the bench. Why did Drinan start?
Practice match is right. We put pressure on for the last five minutes and show we’re capable of getting bodies in the box all along.
