Match reports - 1921 to the present day

A while ago I embarked on a project to compile a report page on every league match Charlton Athletic has ever played, from the beginning of the 1921-22 season to the present day. A simple visual record with a few details added, as a way of remembering all the players who have worn our shirt down the years.

I was originally doing this exclusively for Dick Plumb's forum, but now that forum is closing I hope nobody minds if I start a thread for these records here. So far there are about 820 in existence, but I have a fair way to go as CAFC have played around 4,030 league matches during the last 101 years.

After adding the existing files, I will post each new one as it is created, which is usually a couple of times per week. Just below this message I will add a links table, so members wishing to view matches from any given season can quickly link to the relevant page.

I wished to do this in an effort to bring our distant past back to life a little, and remind us of some of the players who gave so much to Charlton Athletic's early history.

Much of the raw data for these files has Colin Cameron's excellent "Home and Away with Charlton Athletic" as its source. Additional information was found on Wikipedia and many other online sources.

It will take quite a while to post the 820 existing files, so I hope you'll be patient with me.

I believe he's aware of this little project I'm working on.
The files are freely available to anybody who wants to copy them or incorporate them into their own archives.
Also of course I cannot claim these are complete or definitive.
They're just something I'm doing for the pleasure of it, to teach myself a little about the wonderful bygone days of CAFC...
