The Tykes play host again for their second match after the international break and Watford travel up the M1 to Yorkshire for their first visit of the season.

    Barnsley

    • The Manager – Keith Hill

    keithhill.jpg

Talking about the LeicesterCity game. “I'm happy with the performance - not happy with the reward. I'm really encouraged. The progression we've made as a squad was evident in that performance. We were expected to lose today. It's a great performance and it takes us to the next game which is a pressure-game.”

And the Watford match as well. "I would imagine there'll be a little bit of pressure on us to perform and get a result, and Watford will come here, sit deep, deny us space and try and get the twelfth man, the crowd, to support their strategy, rather than our crowd be patient with our strategy.”

    • The Tykes

    Luke Steele
    Bobby Hassell
    James McEveley
    Stephen Foster
    Jim McNulty
    James O'Brien
    David Perkins
    Jacob Butterfield
Nathan Doyle for Danny Drinkwater - 83 mín.
Ricardo Vaz Te for Cameron Park - 76 mín.
    Andy Gray - 57 mín.

    Substitutes:
    David Preece
    Scott Wiseman
    Nathan Doyle
    Alistair Taylor
    Ricardo Vaz Te

    Update on the Tykes’ statistics

    WATFORD

    • The Manager – Sean Dyche

“At last the monkey's off our back. I thought we were very thorough in our performance levels today and we got what we deserved which we haven't done so far this season. We work hard as a group and the players are very responsive to what we do."

“Our back five were excellent today. We have bags of honesty and there was plenty of effort. We have believed in our performance levels despite the results. I think they have been decent this season so far and our players think they have been decent as well. There's been no unease and they believe in what they do.”

    • The Hornets

    Scott Loach
    Carl Dickinson
    Martin Taylor
    Adrian Mariappa
    Lloyd Doyley
    John Eustace
Troy Deeney for Mark Yeates - 64 mín.
    Craig Forsyth
    Jonathan Hogg
    Andreas Weimann
Chris Iwelumo for Marvin Sordell - goal 37 mín. - 83 mín.

    Substitutes:
    Rene Gilmartin
    David Mirfin
    Troy Deeney
    Chris Iwelumo
    Joe Garner

    Who will win?

    Current form

Barnsley suffered a three match losing run, including an embarrassing defeat to Morcombe in the League Cup at Oakwell, they have bounced back with a run of three unbeaten games with a win at Reading, their only victory this season. Strangely Watford's only win was also at Reading, a result that took the Hornets out of the bottom three positions.

Akureyri's Prediction: 1:1 After attaining their first win of the season at ReadingBarnsley will be a tougher proposition and the teams will cancel the other’s efforts.

I have gone for an away win 1-2, surely we can do this, a good test for us and this is the sort of game we should be winning if we want mid table or above security!

A great performance last week but I just can't quite see back-to-back away wins...I'll go 2-2

I have to admit, I don't know much, if anything, about Keith Hill.

Looking at that picture, I can confirm I hate the man. What is it with people wearing scarfs with that stupid knot?!?! I bet he is wearing a pin-stripe suit, with tan leather pointy shoes.

On that note, I am going for a final score of Barnsley 0-2 Watford, with Sean Dyche getting into a fight with that idiot, Keith Hill, in the 67th minute, resulting in Keith Hills's Louis Vuitton wallet getting slightly damaged.

I read Keith Hill has a big lump on his neck and hides it with a scarf his mother knitted for him.

I was more focused on the team news lol. But i do agree. With Dickinson in the team there is no need.

It's a shame that his game seemed to be improving, but he's been out-classed for now.

I have noticed the biggest Barnsley thread was done by a Southampton fan. It is bigger than all the others added together. We will have to write a lot to get to 338 posts.

On paper most fans would have this down as a relatively easy away game. Football isn't played on paper mind. Shame, because that would be an improvement on the stuff that we plough through every March.

I'll be controversial and say 2-2, with this being the first game of the season that we got more than we deserved.
