Gordon 6 Spectator for the most part, distribution improving by the game
Ralston 6 Looked as if he lacked a bit of confidence going forward at times. Better when moved to the left
Ajer 8 Impressive. Very composed and good with the ball at his feet
Tierney 7 Solid performance as a makeshift centre-back
Miller 9 Oustanding. Man of the match. Defensively sound and threatened going forward. Unfortunate no to score
Brown 8 Robust and intelligent performance, hardly put a foot wrong
Armstrong 6 Tried hard but not up to match sharpness of last season yet
Rogic 8 Immense at times, fantastic runs and great assists. Finds space so easily
McGregor 7 Decent performance, took goal well
Forrest 7 Another hard working performance in unfamiliar role. Good goal
Benyu 5 Tried hard but not up to the speed of the team yet. Good prospect
    Subs:
    Bitton 4 Did fine
Griffiths 6 Injected some urgency and stretched them
Lustig 3 Couple of dodgy passes

Manager 9 Called it correct with selections and tactics

<bubbly> For me, also, a special thumbs up due to, relatively new bhoy, Olivier Jules Ntcham for his outstanding performance.

Onwards to the Champions League group stages with at least £30m in the coffers! HH!

Well said EC, a remarkably poor defensive performance tonight and, surely, a big wake up call for what lies ahead. However, as I see it if you were to ask for a 3-4 deficit if the 1st leg was away from home you would gladly accept it. Great job done by the Bhoys and, yes, Ntcham was one of our best tonight. Again, 10/10. Onwards and upwards. Brendans words after the game shows that he knows what is required. 3 goals away from home in any euro comp is no mean feat. Well done the Hoops

    Celtic V St.Johnstone 26/08/17

Gordon 5 Unfortunate mistake for the goal but Brendan took the hit for that. Otherwise fine
    Ralston 6 Tried his best
Lustig 6 Not his position but did okay
Bitton 5 Too many sloppy passes
Tierney 8 Motm, as reliable as ever and put in some great crosses
Brown 7 Solid as ever, one or two wee blemishes but that's Broonie
NtCham 2 Awful, couldn't believe it was the same player from last week - nae studs either!
Forrest 4 Not his best day but tried hard
Rogic 5 Like wee James, tried hard and some good touches but probably tired
Sinclair 6 1st half awful. 2nd half superb. If he had shown 2nd half performance earlier in game 3pts in bag
Griffiths 5 Again tried hard but off the boil

    Subs
McGregor 6 Injected some life into the game
Armstrong 6 Not up to speed yet but getting there
Hayes 6 Did well and was unlucky a few times - needs a run to find it

Manager 6 All things considered, patched up and did okay. Should have went to a back three much earlier.

    Hamilton Acc V Celtic 08/09/17

Gordon 4 not much to do but again badly at fault for yet another needless goal
    Lustig 6 not tested
    Simunovic 7 steady
Tierney 7 as reliable as ever (missed the cross for the goal but should have been covered by a centre back)
Forest 6 Started well but faded
Brown 6 A couple of slack passes but otherwise solid
    Armstrong 7 Worked hard
    McGregor 6 Indifferent
Sinclair 6 two goals but still needs to do more
    Roberts 7 nice touches
Edouard 8 fine start for the youngster

    Subs
    Ntcham 3 made no difference
    Hayes 3 no impact
    Bitton 3 no impact

Manager 8 Solid 3pts away from home with key players missing yet again

    Celtic v PSG 12/9/17
Firstly, Hats off to PSG. A very good team but we made them look better than they are!

Gordon 5 No chance for any of the goals
Ralston 6 Skinned for 1st goal but decent workmanlike performance
Lustig 3 Not his best position and always left exposed, unlucky with og
    Simunovic 1 Dreadful, absolutely dreadful
Tierney 6 Tried hard but no support.
Brown 6 probably our best performer but on his own in m/f
Armstrong 1 Same as Joso - awful
Ntcham 1 Ditto - in fact, was he actually on the park?
Sinclair 2 Out of his league here
Roberts 6 Would have been my motm but tired badly before being subbed
Griffiths 4 Tried hard but no service or support

    Subs
Rogic 2 did just a little more than who he replaced, very poor
Edouard 1 Not his night - useless
    Forrest 1 No impact

Manager 3 Very naïve tactically tonight. Better for 25-30 mins in 2nd half but was too late by then. Big mistake in window with no other CB coming in therefore should have given Ajer his chance. Lustig is NOT a CB

Would another CB have made a difference last night? I don't think so, you can't spend millions of pound for a guy because of 1 game we were never likely to win anyway.

But it would not have been for 1 game, we need a good quality CB and have done since VVD left.
