I must say I was stupid pre-season with the huns done and dusted and mostly never to play a SPL game I thought Craig Thompson would attempt to referee in a decent and fair manner. Yesterday proved just how stupid that thought of mine was. He awarded Hearts a free for something he wouldn't dream of awarding to Celtic if a Hearts player had done the same. However the free was easily 10 yards outside the penalty area. Craig counted in his newly learned Ulster/Scots dialect, and he counted, and he counted, until he went past the penalty spot and lined up the wall, at least 6/7 yards longer than the rules. Surprise , surprise the ball got over the wall and on target. Wilson was shielding the ball over the line a Heart's played deliberately gave him a big push in the back, swung his leg around the body and Craig said well done and waved play on. Izzy got whacked twice in the corner he was defending, no foul given once and a foul given the other time against Izzy. Now what the hell is Craig on, what is trying to do his team are 35 places beneath Celtic and struggling. Why Craig Why ???
The tackle on wilson was the linesmans call Thompson was miles away same with the Izzy one. Thought they where lucky not to pick up some more bookings but all in all he was decent.
ThThe reason referee was miles away when Wilson got the hit was he chose to be, he didn't attempt to keep up with play. I saw him slow down and stop. (in fact he was probably looking into his mirrors.). What about the counting and the measuring the ten yards, never in the history of football has anyone measure eighteen yards and mistake for ten. That could not be a mistake, that had to be cheating and even you know that. Decisions all day were given anti- Celtic big Sammy body checked, Hooper and Forrest likewise. Thompson gave more wrong decisions against us than the bastard Dallas ever give in a single match.
