Almost like it’s a team game and not individuals. I presume you are advocating for us to sign a world class left back then and not yet another player who could play left wing?

What a ridiculous assertion. I just want players who are at least half decent in their position. We have the worst left back in the league, by some distance, and you are able to fool yourself into thinking he is decent because he needs two midfielders to help him and Botman too. Anyone who plays on the left is hindered. Look at Isak when he is on the left. He is not the same player. Imagine having talent going forward, like we have, and settling for utter dross.

Almost like your comparing ASM to Jacob Murphy - as I'm sure you are aware that would make any further discussion null and void... but I'm a nice guy, so I'll let that one slide.

Sooo your saying: "The back up winger played more than the "world class winger" (your words not mine) yet didn't do better than him"? Kind of backing up my point Murphy should be out the door before Maxi if anyone's going no?

Almiron also, love the lad and really hope he stays but think after the season he has had you could recoup or even profit if you sold him now and not take the risk that he doesn't have the best 9 game spell of his life again (scoring 8 of his 11 total goals) next season and reverts back to 2020 Miggy again. Take those 9 games away and Miggy's season looks like 32 played, 3 goals, 3 assists.

Dunno, could also be interpreted that he's had some major personal life problems to deal with and is simply thanking the fans for support during difficult times. Might also explain why his form hasn't been as good as people had hoped to see of him. Maybe if he stays and gets fit then he can come back stronger next season.

Glad he's going, if we get 30m for him on top of the 15m for Wood then it frees up funds for a good signing.

Sad thing is, we'd get nowt for any of them, other than a reduction in wages.

Brains isn't the best strength within the fanbase unfortunately.

If he goes no problem he's annoying but I'd rather keep until the dross is gone.

I get we need money to bring in players due to FFP but we are the richest club in the world - they can find a way to generate a few extra million here and there as needed...

But - let me paint you a scenario - group stage game 6, need a point to qualify for the knockouts, 72 mins on the board and we are 2-1 down to a defensive Italian team, who do you want to bring on - Jacob Murphy or Allan Saint Maximin? Miggy maybe? Gordon? HELL NO! None of those others are game changers like Maxi.

For me the starting front three has to be:
    ASM-Isak-RW
    Back up
    Gordon-Wilson-Almiron
ASM needs to stay for a season or two at least!
