It is. But it isn't a spelling mistake. Sometimes have to ask the grandkids to decipher some of their statements. My parents generation probably thought the same of course.
Not at all, the way you've spoken about the points deductions is just like the EFL basically draw them out of a hat. You're given one for a reason and you're allowed to lose £13m a year over a 3 year period (although I think it changed slightly last year). It's easy to avoid one but both clubs wanted to spend more and more. I've zero sympathy at all. For balance, our wage bill is likely to be around £13m now.
I suppose I grew up with what was right was right and what was wrong was wrong - now it appears you can invent your own bad grammar , wrong tenses etc , like so much more you can water it down until you don’t have to comply with anything really - ‘do what you like’ Sod everyone else culture - not for me
I don’t profess to be perfect, he pulls others up all of the time but when he makes an error it’s his phones fault. In my humble opinion, it’s a form of bullying.
With no money to strengthen I think overall he's done okay this season. We was always going to struggle.
I come and go on this forum but I too have found that some just want to argue for no real reason. Quite sad really. I can quite easily buggar off this forum for a few days when the enjoyment has gone and it becomes a chore.
The English language has been in constant evolution for hundreds of years, how can anyone claim that a particular form of it is the 'right' version?
Sadly, it has become like that. A lot now don't take responsibility for themselves. Hence, the oceans full of plastic. It is always someone else's job etc. Anyway, the sun is shining and time for my walk as I watch the Tennis.
Its quite simple Syd. Those that always think that they are right can't see beyond that. An open mind doesn't exist in their world. They are right and everyone else that does not agree is wrong. Its very much black and white (no offence meant RoverTiger) for them.
There’s a difference between language evolving from Shakespeare to modern day and the widespread adoption of a slang/street based vernacular within about 10 years. I’m 34 and can barely read something written by a 20 year old on social media sometimes.
And I'm sure someone who was born 20 years before you would have struggled to understand a lot of the slang you used growing up.
Shota landed btw. Last night though, I believe, so it's a bit misleading it was only posted this morning.
Didn't Shakespeare invent loads of new words just to fit with his stories? I bet he was a right twat to play scrabble against.
