Nature of the beast. relegation Rivals will always be switching managers, we're prolific at it. It's gone well for us, we've been lucky. Doesn't always work, like always it depends on the players. Will Rafa inspire them? Unless there's some kind of hidden charisma we don't see hard to see it. NUFC is a club full of difficult personalities. Getting them all singing off the same hym sheet is going to be very difficult. Half the ****ers will be thinking about their next club. Some of them have been doing it for a while but instead of shifting the poison(Sissoko) they've held on to him. It's a toxic club, look at the Captain, he looks as disinterested as anyone, something that can't be said for O'Shea. Mags need a new captain with their new manager imo. Have they got anybody capable of doing it?
The latest gossip is that Benitez and the club haven`t been in personal contact yet. Everything up to now has been done through intermediaries. If that`s the case there`s still a bit to go yet.
The worry for me is they think they're better than Pearson. They could end up with him through lack of choice. He'd lower expectation which would give him an even better shot at making it work. Hope Benitez goes there. Dick saved us, just. We were lucky with a manager who'd never been in a PL relegation fight.
Makes it even more important that we beat them, if that was possible. Shame we are not playing them tommorrow.
J'm not too bothered about Benitez yet. Managers used to working at the top don't always enjoy relegation scraps - Dick Advocaat admitted they weren't "his cup of tea". The candidate I would worry about most is Pearson - just look at what's become of his 'relegation favourites', Leicester. O.k., things didn't work out there, but he laid most of the bricks for their success. I don't want him up the road.
Sssshhhhhhh!!! Fat Mike might be reading. Anyone at Nooclassel Airport - got a funny feeling Saggy Chops might be flying in. Bart
Pops for me I would'nt be suprised if thay still have a catetaker on derby day then hopefully fan rebellion forces ma (lowercase deliberate) to get a manager - I may be freewheeling here mind - I need a coffee (caffine is my drug - ) Off to Yorks to visit daughter & enjoy our football stress free weekend & really hope Pardew's palace progress mind - fixture congestion before their relegation -
