I quite like them, just something a bit different and a great marketing tool, looks almost exactly like the Chrome icon. It's almost like they were made for each other
I think McL is my fav colour scheme this year.

 

I like them in themselves, but the colours clash horribly with the blue and orange.

 

Good deal that from a company with in effect unlimited bottomless pit of dirty cash.

The wheels won't look as bad when spinning rapidly

Going to be a smmmooooth racing car this.

 

McLaren have got the welders in for their brake solution it seems!

Let’s hope it lets them race well and complete the race without any problems

 

I guess it wasn't feasible to make a mould for a carbon one, so quick fix in titanium I guess. There must be a weight penalty but maybe a cooling benefit as the titanium will conduct heat to rims, might help or hinder?

 

i can’t even profess to know the mechanical side of things Ched but crossing my fingers it is a successful solution.

As you say, you would think a temporary solution comes at the cost of something- in this case weight- so let’s hope they at least get the reliability from it sorted.

Has anyone any ideas what the mask wearing rules are for the teams and TV crews this season. Seems like it's optional?

 

Completely optional I believe mate- no bio bubbles I think is what Brundle said the other day.

Crofty and him, Ant, Karun etc hadn’t actually been in a commentary box since 2019 until this years Bahrain test - crazy!

McLaren in Saudi- a track where in theory I felt their slim design could go we, but now we have all sorts of questions on whether it even works!!

Really hope they have their brake fix available this weekend so that we can isolate performance to the rest of the car design

I though they would have sorted the brakes by now!!! They look same as second race!
