They could use the Flask cafe as a neutral venue, used to be bit of a battleground in the mods v bikers days.

Enjoyed watching this short collection the other day

Not mentioned on here of course, but from memory, I'm sure I remember Warnock's first league season survival target was 50 pts - which they easily achieved.

Warnock is a god in Scarborough .

I went to Scarboroughs first home game in the league v wolves. I think I must have been the only one that knew that wolves fans had a bad reputation because North yorkshire police and the Club had no idea about it .

I remember when they flogged the two stands. And when the club went bust and most of what was going on with the rebirth through the local paper but wasn't that interested.

If it hadn't been for THE ****TY ALLAMS I would not have stopped going to City . The coach from Filey would STILL be running to all home games at City

Think from a full coach or nearly full only 4 still go to City.

I am looking forward to the new season starting on Aug 18th

Just 1more friendly on Saturday at home to Frickley. I will be going .

I just remember seeing the Wolves' fans fall through the stadium roof on the news.

    2-2 wasn't it?

Last pre season game yesterday 11th aug

Scarborough Athletic 2 Frickley Athletic 2

Scarborough made a slow start and Frickley took a 1-0 lead

Towards the end of the first half Frickley players looked knackered and James Walshaw equalised near end of first half ( he scored 42 goals last season , half for Farsley Celtic .

Punch up involving all the players resulting in just one yellow card and Frickley manager being sent to the stand...he only went on pitch to help seperate the players

Second Half Boro on top and went 2-1 up .great saves at both ends kept it at 2-1 before Frickley scraped an equalising goal near the end.

421 at The Flamingo Land stadium for what was nothing more then a kick around practice game

    Great day as usual
Got my ticket for Whitby at home on Bank Holiday Monday
Whitby have been sent 300 tickets and are being put at opposite end to The Shed end

That's an artificial pitch right Filey?

And what - they do concessions on coach prices?! They obviously don't know how to run a business.

Yep fake grass . So far only one game called off and that was because the other team couldn't get to Scarborough. Lots of postponed games in these leagues and lots of pitches like plowed fields in winter.

I wasnt a fan of these pitches but the club get to rent it out for other events. The pitch seems to act just like normal grass and local schools get to use the pitch at times and I think it makes for better games then in most of the pitches in the Evo stick league

Yep half price for under 16s on away day travel...IF there looks like empty seats will be available they let under 11s on for free.

I guess Adult price is usually a bit higher to help with the 16s and under price . Good idea really. Fans matter in the lower leagues . Well they do own the club .

With luck I will be doing some away games this season.

Whilst I was back home I went to watch my grandson play on one of the University 3G or 4G pitches. I had a few kicks of the ball on it and was surprised how close to real grass it was.

Evo Stik PREMIER League season kicked off today

    Hednesford 0 v 1 SCARBOROUGH Att 495

    Warrington 0-2 farsley. Att 312

Grantham 1-1 bamber Bridge Att 253

    Hyde 1-0 basford. Att 416

    Marine 1-1 v N. Ferriby. Att 359

    Matlock 4-0 lancaster. Att 359

    Nantwich 1 v O gainsborough. Att 379

South Shields 2-1v witton. Att 1,677

    Stalybridge 0-0 mickleover. Att 374

    Whitby 1-0 buxton. Att 282

    Workington 1-0 stafford. Att 421

Did not go but it seems Scarborough was well on top first half and went on 1-0 at half time

Second half Hednesford had a man sent off and were on top with Scarborough playing counter attack and missing the best chance of the game when Walshaw thumped a shot well over the bar

    Annan had a good game
Not sure who scored for Scarborough but it wasn't Annan

Approx 200 plus a few more away fans ( so I was told )

Tuesday is our first home game v Matlock

Can't wait for Tuesday . Think we will get a good home gate.

South Shields home attendance was great today over 1,600

South Shields and Scarborough both promoted last season will be the best supported clubs .

It would be good if they could get promoted as the next league is National League North.

I feel sure South Shields will go up and Scarborough might finish in a play off place

Scarborough seem to have signed some good players 6 of them from the national league North and the National league

    Fingers crossed they do well

Still as you know Mr Tash what ever the score I have a good time .

Hopefully I will do some away games and one or two city away games.

    All the best

    :)

    Scarborough Athletic 2
    Matlock Town 2

First home game of the season and the Seadogs went 1-0 up after just 2 mins..Scarborough well on top the rest of the first half but blew a couple of must score chances
Second half and Scarborough made it 2-0 inside 5 mins.. Again missed chances by Scarborough should have seen them well ahead

Last 15 mins it was Matlock playing the best and they score two goals , the equaliser came in the final minutes of injury time.

    Twats

But it was a good game and would not have been out of place in div 2 or div 1

Attendance 1,280 ( next highest tonight was 490 at Gainsborough
