The old seamer road ground is now a supermarket

This is the new stadium opened 2 seasons ago as an add on to the sports village for Coventry university ...the ground is owned by the council .. the new stand was built in the closed season paid by sports grants....money raised by the club and £100,000 from Flamingo Land. Saturday was the opening of the new stand.

Ground now holds 3,100 making it big enough for national league north and National league premiership

    It backs onto Oliver's Mount

Two games in and some fans want the manager John Deacey sacked. He seems to have sold some decent players and replaced them with players from the league's below Scarborough that may not be as good according to many supporters .

To early to judge is my view so I won't .

And anyway for me going to home games is more important then the results...( I will get to some away games )

Good result for the SEADOGS after last week's 5-1 defeat had sent fans mad wanting the new manager sacking after just 2 games with them also wanting the manager to take his son with him

Yes Bruce had his son at City
Deacy has his son at Scarborough

Suprise suprise Jordon Deacey got scarboroughs winning goal

Good job he played despite the moaners
    Saying get rid of him

1,557 at FCUM...the highest in this division despite them being Bottom of the league

    Bank Holiday Monday
    Scarborough Athletic v South Shields
    Kick off 3pm

South Shield usually bring 4 to 5 hundred supporters

The flamingo Land Stadium will be rocking

    Scarborough 0 South Shields 0

Think Scarborough had two shots on target and Shields also had two shots on target

Both teams were strong in defense but poor up front ..no one wanted to take a player on in the area so most attacking play hit a dead end

    Another fair result though

Crowd was announced as 1,311 to laughter from the fans

There was a loads more then that with new stand packed

Shields fans in the shed end , main stand full plus usual amount stading along the side

    Sheilds brought around 450

It was a good day but so hot

    Witton H on Saturday
    Whitby A the following Tuesday

    I will be there

I prefer behind the goal so went in my usual spot in the shed end...with all the south Shields fans :)

    Ps

I think we would have definitely had a penalty in the second half if they had VAR at this level ( hand ball by a Shields player )

But I liked footy without VAR for years even if some decisions go against you

I don't like VAR from what iv seen on the TV.

Seems like another modern idea like all seater stadiums

We can't bloody score....once again we had all the play and had the ball in wittons penalty area time after time and suffered from being shot shy ...was the same against Buxton and South Shields

Scarborough are playing some good football and gone is the big boot up field tactic of last season but we got loads of goals that way

Wittons Goalkeeper was outstanding from the rare shots we had. Its surprising how good some goalkeepers are at this level.

Dissaponting result when Scarborough dominated though in the last minute Witton came o so close the snatching a win as a shot was kicked off the Scarboroughs goal line

Still a good day as usual but some Scarborough supporters moan like **** when they don't win and everyone should be sacked. Plus they moan £12 is to expensive .

I point out that we charge 16 to 11 a fiver
And under 11s are free...I think prices are great .

    It costs me £12 entrance....£2 programme...£1. 20p forva Bovril

Thats a cheap day out you moaning scarborough fans

    IMG_20190831_175633.jpg

Roll on Tuesday nights all ticket game.

    Coach travel £5....under 16s £2-50p
Coach travel is always half price for under 16s .

We could get well beat on Tuesday as Whitby are in good form.

For some reason Scarborough are taking to many passes in the opponent's penalty areas. A couple of times we had a great chance but the player passed instead of shooting .. 3 clean sheets in a row so defense is doing ok ,( besides leaking 5 at stalybridge ). ...we have a better team then last season imo but FFS shoot

What a great goal for city yesterday
    :)

    Will Annan
He's great with crosses but his shooting is bloody useless

He's the fans boo boy at the moment , not that they boo him they all moan when he comes on as a sub .

    Poor attendance yesterday only 891
FC United got just under 1,500
    South Shields 1,231

Steve Kittrick who Scarborough sacked last season went to Matlock who are Top of the league

    Next home Game 7 September
Marske United in the FA cup first qualifying round.

    Wer going win the cup

    FFS

Whitby Town 2 Scarborough Athletic 0

We just can't score this season ...3 goals in 6 games

Once again we was well on top in the first half and played some good football like we have all season

But we are shot shy. The manager has got us playing pass pass pass footy
so much so rather then shoot we try to play an extra pass and end up losing the ball or in a worse position then we was

Whitby scored in the first minutes of the second half ...we had a poor second half getting the ball but going nowhere

Beat 2-0 by the scum ...as Scarborough fans refer to Whitby

    1,038

Scarborough filling the stand down one side

    outsung Whitby
    outplayed Whitby

    But lost 2-0

Fans will all want Mr Deacey to be sacked IF we lose on Saturday at home v Marske United in the FA cup 1st qualifying round

The money at stake is vital to small clubs
£4,500 to the winner in this round
think it's £6,000 In next round

Marske are one league below Scarborough but near the top

A great day / evening for me as usual.

    ****ing Whitby
