If anybody tells me Kevin’s Stewart is the way forward and Meyler is not they want instantly banning and throwing off this forum.
I would do that, you might possibly but Massive and Dense obviously see another way forward. David Meyler is well liked and admired by most of the fan base. When he departs he will be thanked for the memories. When Massive and Dense fxxk off...Jelly and Ice cream.
Sad but don't think we need him anymore. Kevin Stewart will take over the role and has more to his game.
I'll be sad to see him go. But I'm sure he can go get better employers than the 2 dicks. Wish him all the best for the future and thank him for all he's done. I'm sure if he gets a chance in the remaining games he will be a pro give his all
Incredibly they are only 4 years apart in age! Meyler forever remembered for our glorious 5th against Sheff Utd at Wembley.
Combative, experienced international midfielder .....based locally and settled here, with PL experience. Nah, let him go, why would we need a player like that?
Can' help feeling for the lad ... never the most gifted but always give 100%. I suspect this has a lot to do with Enob rather the Adkins .. I for one wiĺ be sad to see him leave.
Combative, experienced international goalkeeper....based locally and settled here, with PL experience. Same situation?
I've always liked him even though many don't, I must agree he hasn't played has well this season whether that's down to been in and out of the team, simply lost form or not bothered because he hasn't been offered a new contract. Its a shame but has anyone who's out of contact been offered a new one? Or at least one that's worth bothering with.
Always liked Meyler but he really wasn't that good often enough and he'll probably benefit from moving on. He's not entitled to a new contract, no-one is and there's not much loyalty in football in either direction. He'll do a good job for another club and I wish him well.
When we get relegated in May (yes I still think we will) just remember the games (Boro away springs to mind) when we've had a no.10 type of player, playing in a holding position and a perfectly good solid dependable, international holding midfielder sat on the naughty step. Chelsea away in the Cup another example. Adkins must be under orders not to play him.
Wish the guy good luck for the future - can understand why he's not been offered a new contract as he's had a poor season and he has been consistently poor - be interesting to see where he ends up
He's been ****e for the last few months but from memory was great at the start of the season, and had some excellent games for Ireland. So how much of his drop in performance is due to the fact the the club have clearly ****ed him about? Would you go into work and perform at 100% knowing you weren't wanted and weren't treated with respect? We're ****ed for the foreseeable future as this will happen with all our decent players.
