Didnt do any research tbh it was just the Jeff Whitley bit. Personally liked his no nonsense honest approach.
Mick got a very bum deal here. I don't think it was intentional, or anybody's fault, but he simply came at the wrong time. He has proved since he left us that he is a very good, safe, Championship Manager. It's a pity that he hasn't been given a real chance with a solvent, ambitious Prem. team.
EVERY manager were given bum deals at this club !. I wish the Irish consortium were still here, come back Niall next week please.
Recently yes. I honestly think Short was trying his best to begin with and put some backing into the managers he hired, many of whom were not obviously bad choices (Bruce, O'Neil, etc.). It is also worth noting that prior to him coming along things were not as rosy at the shaded nostalgic glasses may suggest. The last few years have been abject though. If he was so reluctant to back the club he needed to bail out before the clear impending devaluation which ensued.
