This probably explains why he’s completely dropped off the radar.

good move for the lad. I’m relaxed about it but it again highlights how bad we are / have been with tying players to contracts.

    Strange one.

Can think of worse places to go and live for a bit like.

Early retirement at his age ...

... absolutely pathetic in my opinion.

    No problems with this.

The vast majority of what we think are massively talented players in our youth squad won't make it. Massive step up and obviously the club didn't think he was capable of making it with us.

Not exactly a “football” move though is it? Not sure it’s a contract thing! I think he’d be better off here working his way into the first team. League 1 is probably a similar quality!!

How long would that list be if we did it!! And it turns out that very few of the ones who leave end up playing at a higher or even the same level as SAFC! Ryan Nobleas a starter for ten!!

I don’t know mind, the standard over there is rocketing, there are players going there in their prime and youth now.

There’s money there, a great lifestyle, and they are now in the big intercontinental tournaments.

It’s a boom league. Not like a few years back.

I've got a feeling we aren't fighting to keep him, mate. His contract is up and no signs of us trying to keep him here.

I’ve watched some of the games over the past few seasons and they’re awful quality! Not seen a single game I didn’t think SAFC would’ve likely won!

I was just going to mention Noble! He done it for a lot longer than Curry and the hype around him (including from myself) was massive. He was an absolute goal machine in the reserves. Last time I heard about Noble he was sitting on the bench for, I think, Seaham Red Star.

Contract has been signed. All waiting on the visa. Can’t blame the lad to be fair. It’s a hell of an opportunity.

You’ve got a lot of south and Central American players making their way there now, no coincidence that the US national team now ha several real top prospects.

Don’t get me wrong it’s not there yet, but it’s getting there. It’s certainly well above league one level, especially the top sides.

Morgan who we had on loan is at Inter Miami as well, interesting footnote. Phil Neville just started as gaffer there.

Morgan is gash. Not even sure he's up to league 1 tbh.

I'm with Marcus on this view, mate. I've watched infrequently over the past few seasons and if anything the quality seems to be going back over, for me.

Bit of a strange one, seemed pretty highly rated but never got a chance under Johnson so who knows.

I'm not going to miss the jokes about his name mind. I wonder what they'd give us for Almond <laugh>

21 year old from a Newcastle supporting family with the opportunity to live and work abroad with a nice pay increase. Got to say I’d be all over that at 21.

Exactly, never mind following in the footsteps of his forebears ...

... it's all about the money.

Whatever he wins over there is basically meaningless.

"I was born in Blyth but, f**k that, I saw a few Hong Kong bars in the Navy" <doh>

Thank heavens the likes of Bobby and Jack Charlton didn't traipse off to the USA for a shyte shirt and a few dollars more eh?

Wasn’t using Morgan as a market for quality, for clarity <laugh>

I’d be on the next flight out if I was him. Not sure why people are annoyed with him like they would turn it down if the opportunity arose <doh>. Sunderland 23’s or Miami, hard one.
