I'll start this one....just incase sensible is still in shock. So 6th verses 7th....we need to win this one just to show everyone that this club is able to carry on regardless because we have a set-up that can function still even when the manager just walks away. Steven Schumacher will be picking his own team and his own tactics and the selected players need to step up to the plate and deliver to show that they are fully behind their manager and PAFC...who wasted no time in getting things moving again. COYG's... we need 3pts from the lads tonight.
I actually double saved the day ?.....my computer was a bit sluggish and I thought it hadn't posted....so I clicked again....and low and behold....there it was twice.

Well using my super mind powers (rather then my Sky subscription) I can report as follows. Argyle started very strongly harassing MKD backwards and making some progress at the other end without achieving much. Then Gillesphy had a bit of a rick down our left to allow MKD a deflected & potentially offside goal. We lost our way for the remainder of the half. Second half we came out better. Not sure if rockets had been inserted but the effect was the same. I'm not sure what the logic of Broom instead of Major was but reversing it was a masterstroke. Broom hadn't been good and Major was thermonuclear. Then he brought on Garrick who was unplayable. All in all, a thoroughly deserved point. Schumacher was interviewed after the game. Can't look the camera in the eye like Lowe but thanked the Halletts, Kevin Nancekevill and just about everyone west of Newton.Abott. His family love it here. Schumacher explained he'd spoken to Danny Major and told him he didn't want to.get over run by MKD but he would have a contribution to.make once their candle had burnt down. Marks out of 10? 10. Tough few weeks but no.reason to.be dispirited. Per Arduam Ad Astra.
Thanks for your report notDistant. That was a significant result against a very strong home team. So other than the Charlton defeat we have only lost to the teams in 1st, 2nd and 3rd....which puts it all into perspective. The Charlton defeat can be put down to me going to the damn match in the first place.
Well I watched this at the Hyde Park Social Club and have to say I can't really argue with any of notdistant's summary. In the end we were unlucky to only get a point and MKD were hanging on. Gillespy.....what can you say. He is definitely the weak link in the back three. He keeps giving the ball away in the wrong places and it was definitely him who led to their goal. It is though the way Argyle keep trying to play out from the back no matter what. If you play that way then you have to be able to pass the ball. I watch in despair sometimes when they do it when it is not appropriate. It was a good point nonetheless and we should not sneer at it. The difference in Argyle today was seamless from previous. I do not think we will miss Lowe at all.
How refreshing to hear Steven Schumacher's post match interview....a genuine chap....so good to listen to. No sound bite after sound bite like what we got from Lowe.
