"The club won the competition a few years ago and we are going to put a strong team out." please log in to view this image Robbie Neilson's men booked their place in the second round with a 1-0 victory at Forest Green Rovers with Gboly Ariyibi the match-winner in the 20th minute of extra-time. After picking up their first win of the season on Saturday in a 1-0 win over Gillingham, Neilson reiterated his side's desire to mount a promotion push this year. The Carabao Cup may not be high up on the Dons agenda, but they’ll be looking for match time and games to allow their newly-formed side to gel. "For me, any game we approach to win it," said Neilson on Saturday. "I won't make huge alterations but there are players who I don't think can play Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday. But the ones I feel can will play because it's a great opportunity for us to progress but it depends what Swansea want to do. "If they play a full team, it'll be a really tough night, but if they bring a lesser team we will be expecting to beat them. The clash will be the fifth meeting between the two clubs, who last met in the Southern Final of the EFL Trophy in early 2008. The Dons won the two-legged affair on penalties and went on to win the competition. If the Swans manage to overcome the Dons, I'm sure all our fans will look forward to the EFL Cup 3rd draw which will take place in Beijing on Thursday (04:15 BST). A sign of the times I suppose. The more games our first teamers play the moe likely they are to get injured which won't be a problem with the backup players we've got Perhaps Llorente may be fit enough for a run out in part of the match so hopefully he'll be ready for Palace.
I've managed to 'set up' a meeting in MK for tomorrow afternoon so will actually have about 3 miles to get to the game - so will have time to kill in MK
In order to help you kill time, I did a quick search in "Whats On in Milton Keynes". It came up with following result: "**** All"
Hope we can get on a run. Use our squad to try out some options etc. Was a great day out in Wembley. Would love to experience it again, may be for the FA cup as it was a bit cold last time! Lol
I'm not sure we have a weakened side, just a weak side..... the bench is equal to the starting eleven. The only difference we have is whether or not Llorente is playing.
Agree about the FA cup as perhaps the BBC will be able to show different footage , rather in Black and Whit of when Cardiff won the FA cup when Arsenal's Welsh goalkeeper "accidentally" fumbled the ball in to his own net.
Clement has picked a full side with the exception of Mawson and Naughton on the bench. Our bench is a ****ing joke. No quality on there at all Looking at that side and bench we need at least 5 quality players.
