Despite a lacklustre display against Donny I still fancy us to do the business tonight. 3-0 Town Norwood Norwood Jackson
Think we may struggle again. I reckon PL will tinker the team, which will affect us somewhat. Think Jacko will be dropped for Keane, and Wilson to replace Wolfy. Also, Nolan will probably come in for either Skuse or Downes (hopefully Skuse) I'll go for a 2-2 draw, Nolan and an OG for us
I wish I could share Warky's optimism, and think we are still very much in development mode, with new players available, one or two known weakenesses, Judge, Knudsen, Jackson. Still have time to settle the whole team, but I see hard fought 1-1 draw tonight. MKW are on a good run too. I still think we are a top 6 side, but were shown up a bit against Donny.
Knudsen?? Guessing you mean Kenlock who I agree is a major weakness. Definitely need Garbutt back and playing left midfield. I wonder is he might drop Jackson and play Judge as a number 10 with 2 of Rowe, Edwards & Georgiou on the wings tonight. As we kept a clean sheet (just about) on Saturday, he may keep the defence the same with Wilson the only other option
Yes, of course, Kenlock it is. I always try to be optomistic and positive, but we dont yet have a settled team, at least 3-4 places are up for grabs.
BTW...no need to disrespect the real Wimbledon by calling them MK Wimbledon. They have F all to do with Wimbledon, and should never be associated with them
What a bold line up. I've always liked 532 but think it requires CBs to be good on the ball and not sure we have that, although I have always said I thought Skuse could play CB in a back 3, abit like how Holland did towards the end of his Town career. Felt after Doncaster we need a bit more creativity from midfield and 532 with our abundance of midfielders and with 2 attacking full backs allows for that. I like the line up but I just get the feeling it's too many changes, too many players not match fit and would definitely not have dropped a footballing CB like Woolfenden in this formation. I'll go for 3-2 town. We'll go 2-0 down the formation will be scrapped and come back to win it with 3 second half goals
Town well on top. There is a bigger drop in quality than I expected to League One. It’s there for the taking second half unless MK Dons come out a different side. Jackson and / or Keane need to get on that score sheet.
A half fit Keane isn’t exactly encouraging, but hopefully he’s got goals at this level. He showed a bit of a knack for scoring in a poor Town side last season, before injury hit. If Nolan and Huws can step up, then we have the potential for more goals in midfield. If we go for one up top following a lengthy Norwood injury, then Judge will presumably get his favoured number 10 role and the pressure will rightly be on him to massively step up performances and start impacting games.
