Let's not mask this any longer. Was that 1 shot on target today? Maybe 2. Everyone heard those boos at the final whistle, not a few numpties, that was 90% of the stadium. Game over.
Everton had more shots on target in one match than we have had ALL SEASON. Think we mustered up 12 before today. I don't know what else to say.
How many's that for the season now? I know I get my laugh's in and to be honest you deserve a bit of stick, but **** me I genuinely do feel sorry for the people giving a chunk of their salary to watch that complete and utter ****e, if you're gonna lose at least get some shots in.
Thing is though, usually in these scenario's a team is losing but still making chances. What is going to change for these players to suddenly start creating opportunities? Fletcher has hardly missed a chance this season. What I saw today was a team obsessed with (as has always been the case with MON) getting the ball wide and crossing it in, but you have no one in the middle actually likely to win a header, even FLetcher is no powerhouse. Benteke would have been amazing for you.
Haway man TTT, that's a now mesmerising 13 shots on target all season, what's wrong with that like? At least we had one today, things are looking up mate, .
I'm not saying I think he will turn it around. I think he's on his way now to be honest. I just think we should wait until December on the off chance a miracle occurs. I'm interested to see where Cest is with regards to MON now... Belief must be dented surely.
That's fair enough but to keep a manager on you should have some conviction he can turn it round imo, not just hoping for something remarkable to change. MON is a stubborn fellow, if you're hoping he'll change tactics any time soon you're going to be left hanging. Well I'm intereested to hear Cest's thoughts on the game following his statements that Sunderland would definitely win and be only one point behind Newcastle after this weekend's fixtures, should be entertaining.
That could happen, but with the players we have, who else is going to come in and make us play any better? really...
I know he's going to keep one up top, I know he's going to spread play to the wings, I klnow it will be counter attacking, soaking up pressure kind of stuff. Hence I have no conviction... It would be impossible to have conviction behind believing he will change his ideology. Therefore I need to hope for something remarkable.
You have a very good first XI, at the start of the season most people's North East XI teams had a fairly even balance. Johnson, Fletcher, Cattermole, Larsson, O'Shea, Mignolet, McClean, all very good. Fair play, a blind man can see it's not working, it is purely stubbornness that has you where you are right now. He may realise that and change, he may not. We'll see.
And Demba Ba has kept you off it?? Your point? We know how bad we are. I don't know whether getting rid of O'Neill will help. Who are we going to get that will do any better? Are these players suddenly going to learn to play?
