Sir Barney often bemoans the lack of good flat horses sent over hurdles so he might be interested in the juvenile hurdle at Stratford today. Ian WIlliams gives a hurdles debut to Oneforthegutter (terrible name for a colt) who was rated 102 on the flat after running 2nd in a Group 3 in France. He was, however, just 1 win from 10 on the flat and evens seems pretty skinny. Certainly one to watch with the notebook out though as there are horses formerly on the flat with the likes of Gosden, Crisford and Murtagh.

Oneforthegutter lives up to his name with an abysmal run. The Skeltons win it with the ex-Gosden inmate Medyaf.

Must confess Oddy I didn't even know this one (Oneforthegutter) was running until I saw the results yesterday eve. Was quite surprised that connections had made the switch and then that he had got stuffed quite in the manner that he did. Ian Williams did though report after the race that Oneforthegutter 'made a respiratory noise' so that could explain the very poor performance.
