Good. Let's hope no-ones risking anything longer term. That would be daft.

In my opinion, Scowen is the key this year. I love him. He's our best signing in years. He may go unnoticed by some but he allows other players to flourish. In fact, we've needed someone who can play that position since Derry.

I do want youth to get a chance but the truth is.... youth isn't always very good, especially at a club that has only just made some improvements to it's development system.

Anyone bringing in Clint Hill to play LB should be shot.

But put it this way... why would you choose Baptiste over Hill? They more or less have the same pace but I know which one is better with positioning, intelligence and fearlessness. Sadly, we have lost the pace in defence now that Onuoha is out.

I'm all for youth but CB is a position that I'd only have experience in, unless we've already gained promotion or are playing in the cup, etc.

I'd happily try youth anywhere else on the pitch if they've genuinely got something to offer.

Baptiste was very good against Ipswich. Really impressed and wasent lacking in physicality either.

Yes sorry awjm...I would play Baptiste over Hill at CB.
He has had a few pretty good games. Clint is 39....he had no pace when he left us, he will have got worse
(I think he was only being signed to sit on the bench, and come on for 20 minutes to consolidate a game....He was not being signed to start

We need a starter now on the freebie window...now that is going to be hard to find

Cousins could be available as well Saturday or for the 3 games coming up in 6 days next week!

I wonder if he's ever played CB.

He has played RB but would be extra harsh to throw him in there. I'd still rather see a reserve promoted at CB.

Lynch won't be ready for Burton according to WLS, and Luongo looking increasingly likely to miss out due illness. He's been one of our very best of late and will also be a big miss.
