Who’s everyone’s opinion on who’s mostly improved as the seasons gone on? For me it’s Shelvey.

Yesterday he was class. Was a pleasure watching him.

I think the player who’s the least improved for me is Schar.

I’m going with miggy aswell. First half of the season he couldn’t hit a barn door and was just trying so hard because of the expectation. Made the wrong choice every time. Doesn’t help that we also had Joelinton who was crap also.

Shelvey still has the propensity to have his "I don't give a **** games". Almirion, Hayden and Fernandez are all improved, and Joelinton has looked far better since restart.

Manquillo is still average, despite Choas's belief that he's a superhuman Robocop/Terminator hybrid programmed for World domination.

You've obviously forgotten the Chelsea game. Man can do no wrong now.

It's a 2 way for me between Manquillo (who I never used to rate) and Miggy.

From last season, Manq - earned a new contract and cemented his place as 1st choice RB.
I think he's flourished under Bruce.

Shelvey looks very dedicated to the club. I now actually believe him when he says he'd like to retire here. We miss him a lot when he's not playing.

    Schar has been ****ing useless.

Bunch of the Benitez boys need to go asap, ****ing useless. The ones we play are the only decent players. Not even good enough for the bench.

    Manquillo quite comfortably for me.

He was utter gash and an absolute liability for most of his time here. Then back end of last season we saw him do better, and this season I think he has been very steady/good - which is a massively compliment for a full back. Never gonna be a world beater, but he has progressed to the point I see him as a perfectly acceptable option, and one I'd retain even if we were taken over.

Seems to have a good attitude and stuck at it when he'd have been well aware that the fans were not impressed. It'll knock your end in too when you know you are better than you are showing, but he just kept working.

Shelvey has been excellent this season, Bruce has got a tune out of him. But to be fair he has been very good at various stages for all I've never been a massive fan. Always had ability but could be lazy and luxury. Given more mature performances this season, and has looked good as a result. I'm not even sure its fair to give Bruce the credit. Shelvey's improvement has come from consistent effort, which to be honest is down to the individual. Sometimes we are keen to attribute any form of player improvement to a manager, but actually there is loads of it down to the player themselves for all the encouragement and environment helps.

Becoming a more consistent player is an improvement.
