Listen to Barton's interview here talking about negligence at the club before his arrival :emoticon-0104-surpr

Wonder how this will go down within the club, with Widdrington with the owners and former staff. Is he trying to get sacked or is he setting his authority?

Covering his arse when the inevitable relegation happens.

Although he does have a point re recruitment. Apart from JCH and Anssi it’s been dire and that’s largely down to Widdrington. What I’m fed up with are the constant power struggles going on in our club. Hamer v Starnes, Widdrington v Tisdale, Barton v Widdrington etc.

It’s not healthy and is part of the reason we’re in such trouble.

Widdrington has always stated that the manager has had the final say on who was signed, I wonder if the policy of signing young players we can bring on and sell for big money is the problem. Some of these young players are quality signings Nicholson, Grant, Westbrooke, Our loan signing McCormick but some of the signings are not that good and I will leave you to make your own judgement on those players

I wonder what the negligence was that he is talking about. Obviously its about coaching staff but what exactly.

Football is always about getting Recruitment right. Also the balance between youth and experience is usually needed (unless you were Man U with the Class of 92)

To be fair Barton could only really be judged on next season - he deserves a chance whichever division you are in.

Its hard to disagree with any Statement about the Board being negligent. From afar it seems that's been happening for years - the fans deserve better

In todays WDP he stated that Tisdale had a 3 hour training session on the Friday when they had a match on the Saturday, he said that footballers were like race horses and had to last the course
