you've ruined my reply by saying "his" if you'd have said "its" haircut i was gonna reply "i always go out of the room when the wifes hairdresser visits....
We have just finished The Handmaids Tale. Deeply unsettling but brilliant. Elisabeth Moss and Ann Dowd's performances are incredible.
Just finished watching The Serpent on iPlayer - true story about a serial killer in Thailand in the 1970s. A very good watch. Very intense and hard to believe such a thing ever happened in real life! Crazy stuff.
Just finished watching Lupin, it’s a decent story, slightly spoiled by the dialogue. It was made in France and is dubbed, they’ve done a decent job of matching the dialogue with the movement of the mouths, but the tone of the dialogue often doesn’t match the action, which is a bit irritating.
i always try and get a different copy and watch with subtitles. i see there is french dialogue and dubbed versions available. its very rare dubbing works apart from in spaghetti westerns
btw i cant believe no one has watched Babylon Berlin. Its real authentic set in Berlin in the late twenties with all the unrest due to the communist riots. it prompted me to watch a film called look whos back. also german with subtitles. quite funny at times and disturbing at others. some of the footage was shot borat syle with unsuspecting members of the public. i wanted to turn it off in the middle of the film as it changed direction.
Started off enjoying Babylon Berlin but some of the enjoyment wore off after a while.Still continued though.
