Just watching Germany v Ukraine... The German kit is stunning. That's what I wish our kit was like, not the Family Bargains special that we have.
Was the lorry fire on the M4 today full of swans kit. http://www.swanseacity.net/news/article/2016-17/adult-away-shirts-update-3150589.aspx Or are they making excuses already.
All outlets have sold out better than was expected which have resulted in certain sizes short of stock....
At the end of the day, every year I see kits that I like and kits that I don't. I only have 2 of the Swansea Adidas kits because I really didn't like any of the others. The centenary kit (more for historic reasons) and the copper kit. It's nothing to do with the manufacturer for me, it's about the design first and foremost and then the quality of the material. However, you also have to take into account that Wales are in the Euros this summer. We've released a new top from a new manufacturer and they have to compete against the Welsh home and away jerseys which are currently flavour of the month - not necessarily because they're Adidas, but because Wales are doing so well. Our Adidas kits never faced this kind of competition. The Welsh Le Coq Sportif kit would be flying off the shelves too if that was our kit at the moment. Add in that thousands of Swans fans are out in France spending their money on Welsh memorabilia and booze (I was one of them!), and you'll see a lot of Swans fans saving the pennies until Christmas. Football tops are expensive business these days, and unfortunately a lot of people that have picked up Welsh jerseys in time for the Euros will not have the money to buy a Swans top straight away. For the kits to have sold at the level they have with that sort of competition is commendable and a big thumbs up to Joma for providing a quality kit that the majority of people like - even if you don't.
They might have sold out the first shipment, which I bet is nowhere near the levels Adidas would have insisted on us ordering. The second shipment has gone up in smoke on the motorway, do demand is outweighing the supply st present hence the sold out sign being up. We now have to wait for a new batch to be produced!!
Well whatever the reason, it's the least amount of new kits I've seen people wearing since we made it to the PL. Usually I see loads of people out in the new kit, but not this year - I can count on one hand the number of people I've seen in fact.
To be honest I have seen a few kids in the away kit, I have seen no one in the home shirt and no one in training tops, saying that seen loads in last years Addias shirts, tracksuits and training kit, funny that.
I'm not being contrary but I've seen quite a few home and away tops being worn on a daily basis by adults
I am glad you have, if I had would have certainly said, the only people I have seen is Kids in the away shirt, I lied I did she a woman in one as well.
I've seen loads - in France and in Swansea. Guess if you aren't looking for them you don't see them. Either way, you have to remember that for the first time in years people will have more likely spent their hard-earned money on a Welsh top for themselves and their sons/daughters this summer. And it would've been that way if we'd stayed with Adidas or not.
The adidas centennial home top is my favourite of any sport , anytime . I love it and wish I bought a few more
Had a good look at the kits yesterday in Debenhams, don't like them, though the away kit is better...............
