Apparently his work permit needs adjustment since his time at Huddersfield, but is not likely to be a major problem. https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/23230168.norwich-city-david-wagner-arrives-uk-ahead-appointment/
I've read this a couple of times and find it a balanced view on Wagner. Curiously, having been a striker, the weakness of his teams lies in scoring and their strength in defence, the complete opposite to Farke, who wanted us to play like ManCity whereas Wagner wants to play like Liverpool. The predicted formations would seem to suit our players and the quality of our strikers might be enough to make a difference but it depends getting the players on board to make it work. Sunday will be our first glance at that but it will take some time. Fortunately we have little to lose.
I do not understand the delay in the announcement. Whilst I no longer have any direct contact with the Club I still have some contacts who are and one of them, who I completely trust, told me on Wednesday that a certain action took place on Tuesday which would only have been carried out if Wagner was already signed sealed and delivered. I cannot say now what that action was as it would reveal my source but what I was told makes complete sense.
I'd assume it was just a case of completing formalities. His work permit needed attention, and whilst I'm sure the club had done the necessary checks to make sure he was eligible to receive one, it doesn't look great to announce a new manager then say he can't take charge for an indeterminate length of time whilst you wait for legal paperwork. Might not have been Wagner that was the issue too, but getting the support staff he wanted, figuring out how existing personnel fit in, etc.

Here is his interview with Darren Eadie https://www.canaries.co.uk/content/...o-it-as-a-group-david-wagners-first-interview
Just seen on Anglia News Wagner was the Best Man at Klopp's Wedding, perhaps he coud get him to loan or sell us one or two of Liverpool's better youngsters
I really like his comments about “hunting” down the playoff positions and promotion, much better being the hunter than the hunted
I also liked that, as well as his enthusiasm and motivating skills - a seachange from Smith, especially about getting everybody involved to achieve success. Smith talked about that but never achieved it. Let's hope it works this time.
Hope is rising. My wife managed to get a 9 day course of anti-biotics this morning and I've taken the first tablet. Should be fit by the time the match starts! (This is serious - I haven't had any alcohol for 8 days!)
