The potential American buyers are Ellewoods, myself, and Bengals Tiger, that is if we can keep Ellewoods out of the theaters long enough to review the papers.
Probably still involved but "did"! Kraft Group bought Cadbury. They then split back into two separate entities Kraft Foods, a US Grocery business, and created Mondelez, a new Worldwide "Snacking Busines" which includes the Cadbury brand. I know, as in my old role I ran all Cadbury UK and International employee share schemes so I was involved in both the Kraft acquisition of Cadbury and the divestment two years later ! Now I've retired I miss my trips to Bournville & the Cadbury Staff discount shop!
Will Morrison @Mozza962 Amid rumours Pat Bowlen majority shareholder of Denver Broncos is the American group interested in buying Hull City. I like it two champions. I have no idea who Will Morrison is, but I thought I might as well throw it into the mix. About Pat Bowlen Wisconsin oilman Pat Bowlen has an estimated net worth of $1 billion. He is the principal owner and Chief Executive Officer of the Denver Broncos, a professional American football team of the National Football League. He bought a majority stake in the team for $78 million in 1984 from Edgar Kaiser. A year after, the Bowlen family bought the rest of the team. Patrick Dennis Bowlen was born on February 18, 1944 in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. He holds business and law degrees both from the University of Oklahoma. He later became a successful lawyer in Edmonton, Alberta which led him to build his estimated net worth of $1 billion. He also has worked at his father’s company. He is a real estate developer and has major investments in the mining industry. As the owner of Denver Broncos, he has helped the team dominate football in the late 1990’s with a back-to-back win in the Super Bowls. However, the team has been losing recently. Mr. Bowlen has fired the legendary coach Mike Shanahan because of the team’s performance in the league. Pat Bowlen is also part-owner of the Colorado Crush in the Arena Football League. He shared the ownership with Stan Kroenke, a Denver-based sports mogul, and John Elway, the legendary Broncos quarterback. In 2006, he added the Denver Outlaws of the Major League Lacrosse in his league of teams. So far, it is the most winning franchise that he ever had.
If true, the involvement of Goldman Sachs investment bank (or Giant Squid as they're known because they have tentacles that stretch globally in the financial world) suggests a leveraged buy-out. They would provide the finance to enable to pay off the Allams and the new owners would load the debt onto the club's balance sheet. Not too dissimilar to the current situation except the interest payments would probably be higher.
Sky Sports tonight saying 3 groups interested in buying City. 2 from US and 1 from UK/Europe. Sky saying one of US groups already owns an NFL franchise.
Could i just point out, and not wanting to ruin all the good posts and efforts everyone has put in, but the Robert Kraft mentioned isn't the same Kraft as the Kraft Foods people. He is the Kraft Grp, they were Kraft Foods and as mentioned been changed to Mondelez or whatever....
Why not say the wealthiest of the nfl owners Paul Allen, co-founder of microsoft with Bill Gates. Also part owner of Seattle Sounders MLS team. 45th richest man in the world apparently?! Must be him, surely???
That article on the Broncos is well out of date - they won the bloody Superbowl earlier this year! Kraft might be a good call as he's looked this way before as he was interested in Liverpool. Trouble is the Patriots are a bunch of cheating ****s. As for Americans more likely to favour a name change...errrrr no.....New York City, Orlando City.......
