They had no choice but to reduce capacity.... it didn't cost them much as they had nearly 50 000 bronze members paying £35 a year to be on the waiting list. Of course if Levy had really wanted to screw the fans he could have doubled the season ticket prices and cut the waiting list that way, making 15m extra a season while he was at it.
My definitions... 1. Tourists people who come for a day out but are not really invested in the team....I have no issue with these people...I have gone to an America Football match at Wembley in the same way. 2. Corporates...those gifted tickets as business deals...have no issue with those people as they are in expensive seats and raise money for the club. 3. Plastics... a. season ticket holders who always sell tickets for "lesser" games. b. fans who only bother when we are doing well. I find those in 3a out of order and those in 3b a bit tragic. You do not have to go to matches to be a proper fan and being lucky enough to be able to afford the expensive seats does not mean you are a plastic. The club needs to attract tourists, corporates and actual fans and my feeling is that the current pricing policy is pushing some fans away. The Emirates is a real warning of what could happen if they do not take heed. Hope this makes sense
This looks interesting. Seems like they are airing the documentary at the same time as the match though, silly.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/51705419 I don't think that the venue has been confirmed yet, contrary to what the BBC are saying. Not the fight that everyone wanted, but Wilder activated his rematch clause with Fury and Pulev's the mandatory challenger.
Not enough to sign anyone! I've no idea, honestly. I'm sure there'll be plenty of speculation in the next day or two, though.
Rumoured that we make £800'000 on food and drink from every home game , so a mob of boxing fans on the lash would be a lot more
Does anyone know what the capacity is for boxing? Could get another 25,000 on the pitch I would have thought.
Saracens v Harlequins will be shown live on Channel 5 on Saturday 28th March at 3pm. I wonder if the stadium will look as different as it did for the NFL?
Will they use the football or NFL dressing rooms? I've got tickets for the Tunnel Club hospitality suite.
