According to the Equality Act 2010, all Premier League clubs must have a provision for 186 wheelchair spaces - and a closer look at the plans reveal the total for WHL is 257.
Not sure what "club supporter" means, but really great to see the club have distributed the wheelchair provision around all tiers of the ground (not the usual stick em at the front in all weathers deal) .
I was at West Ham's new public gift of a ground last night. The temp seating has done a decent job of not making it seem like you are miles away from the pitch, but there is still a significant distance. Atmosphere was decent, but not spectacular with 54k+ in attendance.
A nugget from the THST's meeting with Levy Katerina Law (THST co-chair) asked for clarification of the position regarding negotiations over Wembley Levy said that the FA's stance for some time had been that it was a national stadium and they were not interested in any Premier League club playing at Wembley. So, despite offers from THFC, there had been no willingness from the FA to progress discussions Chelsea FC's offer of a four-year deal, which would deliver a substantial sum of money, had changed this position and the FA would now consider a PL team A four-year deal was thought to be far more attractive to Wembley than a one-year deal, although Levy stressed the ‘per season' income to Wembley was unlikely to be materially different from either Club. Levy also felt that the FA acknowledged the need to treat clubs equally The FA has now said it will go away and consider the practicalities of a ground share. Until that is decided, no further discussions can take place After that... Law asked for clarification of the decision makers here. Levy confirmed that the Wembley Board will give a recommendation to the FA Board, who will make the ultimate decision Law asked what the deadline was for Spurs to have a decision about where they would be playing in 2017/18 if the current stadium build timetable was adhered to. Donna-Marie Cullen (Spurs' Executive Director) and Levy said that March 2017 would be the deadline The best outcome for Spurs would be that Chelsea do not require the stadium for 2017/18 and/or that the FA grant Spurs the season of 2017/18 with Chelsea having the following four seasons The Club also underlined that Wembley was the only neutral option
And more information about the Spammers OS deal leak out.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34492276 Apparently they will also be getting free plastic bags to deal with all the **** on the pitch!!
<quote> The local borough of Newham is contributing £40m </quote> Again, if anyone knows what the great ROI is that they will be getting for that money ***, let me know. More so given they have had posters up at tube stations in 2015 about the 50m in savings the council has to make due to funding cuts. *** It currently stands at "30% of that" (Newham mayor on BBC London news when bid winners were announced) .
I'd like to know how much the West Ham version is costing the tax payer compared to what Spurs proposed. The idea of West Ham paying rent is also meaningless if they are getting so much else subsidised or completely paid for. For example, if the public funds say £200 million refurbishment costs (and it will be more than that), how many years equivalent rent is that? Say West Ham pay £5 million per year (and it may only be half of that), if they had to pay refurbishment then it's the same as 40 years free rent!!!
So not only has Karrunt Brady chiseled a stadium out of the taxpayer, she also backed that snivelling little skidmark George Osborne's tax cuts proposals in the House of Lords: http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/11-millionaires-who-voted-tory-6713773
