Honestly? I hate Liverpool the club.

I don't hate any of you, the fans. In fact, I'm sure you're all a nice bunch of fellas. I just hate your club, and I don't think anything will ever change that.

Nothing against you guys.

 

I've genuinely only seen either positive things said about Newcastle or empathy for their situation/criticism of Mike Ashley on our board, but don't know if any of our fans have been wumming theirs.

Can understand if some of a bit aggravated though. We had Suarez and Carroll to soften the blow of Torres going, and that still hurt us, all they have had is empty promises and plenty of money going to their pantomime villain owner.

As for Enrique, it's not a case of him suddenly becoming amazing now we've gotten him, more backing any one who signs for the reds, being glad a problem position has been sorted, and the fact that if Kenny and Commoli rate him then that gives us all more confidence him. Plus there's been a few tasty stats coming out that i think have surprised a few of us.

I'll be hoping Newcastle do well, great fanbase and quality attendances even in the Championship, although i do hate Joey Barton.

 

That's very true. You rarely hear anything bad said about Newcastle on our board, mainly positive to be honest. Also we rarely have any wums that go on their board as i was there a fair bit (repping) and never saw one

 

I get along very well with the Liverpool fans on here, doesnt matter what I feel about the club, Carroll etc.

 

There are 2 points here:

(1) HATE is a very strong term to use.

(2) WE (the fans) ARE THE CLUB. Our owners recognise that. Our manager recognises that. The players who 'buy into that' become legends.

And 'the fans are the club' is a nice little quote to believe in, but in reality, the club is the club and the fans are the fans. I just dislike the club. I don't dislike anyone for being fans of said club, and I have no reason to dislike them for anything else.

If any of you want to dislike me for disliking your club, then I'll understand.

 

I have nothing against Liverpool or their fans, I just wish they would stop taking our best players!

I imagine all you Liverpool fans have done your research as I normally do for our new signings but for anyone who doesn't know an awful lot about Jose Enrique:
- He is fast as ****! He apparently could have been an Olympic sprinter and beat Walcott in a foot race when we played them last season.
- He is incredibly strong, hence the nickname 'The Bull'
- Has a great left foot. I'm pretty sure there is a video on YouTube of our 0-0 at Blackburn last season where he ran the show from left back.
- Very skillful and calm on the ball. He likes to pass or dribble the ball out rather than clear it.
- Concentration doesn't seem to be great. One minute he can be running rings around the top wingers in the league, before inexplicably attempting a backpass to the goalkeeper from the halfway line and giving the ball away!

 

Played well with Colo and Jonas too, hope they're not the next ones on their way.

 

Not sure how a Colo-Pieters-Jonas combination would work on the left hand side. Young Erik shall have to learn Spanish if he wants to play!

Don't like Liverpool, couldn't care less what they think of me. Won't be engaging in friendly banter as it would only consist of me having to talk about losing two of my favourite players to a team I really dislike.
