No we didn't... We signed a bloke called Gareth Hall who lived in Chelsea. A footballer he certainly was not.
The vote is tonight..... https://www.sunderlandecho.com/news...t-to-newcastle-and-sunderland-airport-3283527
Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, Sunderland, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside, AMP Capital international airport it is then
Is there any-need My point is, you might of been better off using a different example of an airport to get your point across. Rather than one with its location in the official title... " like Liverpool airport" Liverpool John Lennon Airport
Gateshead has the Angel. Durham has the Cathedral. South Tyneside has Nightingale. Newcastle has the Airport.... we need this...lol
Thanks for the heads up. I watched it all... brilliant entertainment btw So they want to change the name of central station as well???? They talk about the two great cities of the area??? FFS
Hmm, apart from a small settlement associated with the fort guarding the bridge at Pons Aelius, Newcastle didn't become a settlement of any note until after the Norman Conquest. The area in which Sunderland lies became an important monastic site by 674 AD, almost 400 years earlier, when Benedict Biscop was granted land to found Monkwearmouth Monastery by King Ecgfrith of Northumberland. The present city of Durham is much later, its founding being traceable to 995 AD. So yes, Newcastle and Durham are historic cities, but no more historic than Sunderland.
Yep, after watching that I honestly think we should all take more notice of what's being done in our name... Now, as for not my council......... WTF So that council... gets to decide for the rest of the region then?
Sunderland paid 50 50 for the metro but you thieving twats stiched us and took years to extend for Sunderland which was supposed to get the link before the airport
As if that vote is going to make a difference . It was tabled by the liberal democrats FFS. There's a whole other private company who own the other half of it who would have a say. Glad you were rattled enough to tune in.
this is someone who grew up with the real truth not woke distorted **** try shutting up they used our half doing things for Newcastle's betterment The elevated sections included the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, a new 350 m (1,150 ft) bridge carrying the Metro across the River Tyne, and the 815 m (2,674 ft) Byker Viaduct across the Ouseburn Valley, between Byker and Manors.[2][19]
