I can see us finally getting our first win of the season with a new manager in place also. We'll have 2 weeks to prepare and enough time hopefully to sort out manager issues. I'd go with - ---------------------Wilson----------------- -------Max---------------------------Murphy--- ----------Almiron--Hayden--Willock--- Ritchie/Lewis---Schar---Fernandez---Manquillo -----------------Dubs/Darlow----------- If we ****ing go 5 at the back vs Brentford at home who have just lost to ****ing Norwich then we're ****ed. I'd give Murphy a show in an attacking role, I think he'd offer more than Joelinton going forward personally. I'd play Ritchie at leftback anyway because we're going to be ****ed down that left hand side defensively anyway. We should look to win this game via goals not just camping back. Prediction - 3-1 - Brentford to take an early lead, we'll come back into it and win it late. I fancy a Wilson brace and a Maxi goal
Shelvey... Get Willock in there at least he can move and think quicker than a (brain)dead thing from (brain)deadland.
We need to win. A win would have us 2-3 points from safety (so one result), with a couple of winnable games coming up. December is an utter sh!tshow of a month for us in terms of fixtures - Bruce properly did a number on us with 3 points from 7 games and many of those were nice fixtures - so we could do with being near safety before that. For me the next three fixtures dictate far more of the season than I'm comfortable with. A couple of wins and momentum could have us out of the relegation zone in January (when we have nice fixtures and can buy players) but draws/losses could have us staring down the barrell at an horric December and then struggling to get anyone in in January due to impending threat of relegation. 3-1 to us.
Id take Clark ahead of Fistbumps. Going to be interesting. Biggest thing I’m watching for is the Ritchie/LB situation.
Fraser is an interesting one though. Although they obviously ended badly a large part was due to Howe wanting to keep him and he played his best football by far under him. One centre defender, one centre mid (in january) and the Ryan Fraser for his last couple of years under Howe would be transformative for us.
Do you know it was both Arsenal and Liverpool who were watching him? He's not Hendrick-level useless.
Second back row of the gallowgate end, i thought i'd got second row of the upper tier but i was looking at the seating plan the wrong way round
Looking forward to this. Agree with @GeordieHalfbreed that Willock has to start as a sign that we intend to play this one on the front foot. Would also like to see Schar and Fernandez back in but dont think he will drop Lascelles on his first game in charge. Reckon we will sneak a 5-4 win.
Is there a difference between a Match thread and Match Discussion thread or is Tash just scared he will be blamed if we lose?
Needs to be changed to a match day thread. I get confused easily. Do you, oh mighty mod, have the power?
