There’s a stat out there about how poor our points tally is with darlow vs Dubravka. The word liability is thrown around a lot, but genuinely it’s very accurate for darlow: Rob Eliot would’ve done a better job. How **** must this Gillespie be? I’d argue we need a keeper in Jan and I’d be all over Man U to get Henderson in. We also need Coady, Tarkowski, a left back and a solid midfielder.
OUT I'm quite happy on @CaraMatt 's team of unbridled positivity. I'm confident we'll beat both Norwich & Burnley and have a good chance of getting something against Arsenal as long as we go after them. There's plenty of games left and if we ignore the defensive cock ups we saw against Brentford then there is no reason we can't pick up some points during our run of death as well. I think Howe will take that game as a yardstick for the players he wasn't sure about (another reason for not playing the international players). He will now know who has the moxie to play the way he wants them to and can sort the wheat from the chaff in preparation for the Jan window.
Wow!, that's a leap even for you Roy But for the avoidance of doubt, if we get less than 6 points out of the next 3 games I still think we'll stay up. I just think we'll end up with 7 points from these games with the potential for 9
No way do we want both Coady and Tarkowski, one or other. Good players both but they are both slow. We will need a centre back who is quick if we're playing a much higher defensive line. Think Umtiti will be free in Jan.
