Blimey Lowe not taking this at all seriously....some youngster I've never heard of ?

Burton, Law, Pursall, Wilson, Tomlinson, Garrick, Waruih, Randell, Craske, Shirley, Massey.

    Subs
Baker, Mitchell, Garside, Rutherford, Halls, Jenkins-Davies, Issaka.

No idea which one is the keeper.

Newport make ten changes and include two new signings today.

We aren't including any new signings from today because at the moment there aint any.

Argyle substitute Freddie Issaka is a 15yr 34 day old striker.....if he came on he would easily smash the youngest Argyle player to play record.

I might not have predicted the score I did had I known the side he was going to pick!

Came on in the 69 minute....is this just a gimmick by Lowe....to take our minds off the transfer market.

    2-0...F/T

Newport with 10 changes from Saturdays league game come out on top....Argyle only have one shot on target.....poor performance from the stats.

Why did Lowe bring on a youngster just over 15 years old that hardly anyone has heard of ?....If this was a gimmick just to set a new youngest player record then it an appalling situation......and an insult to the previous holder of the record.

Previous youngest player.....Lee Phillips at !6 years and 43 days.

Freddie Issaka is 15 years and 34 days....so over a year younger.

Well why don't you give him a ring and ask him. Was the previous youngest a gimmick and was the one before insulted? Why are you so upset over this totally useless competition that we would be better off not playing in at all. The sooner we get knocked out of it the better and if that means playing the entire under 8 team then it gets my vote.

I'm with you Sensible. Newport clearly played senior players but it's been a good opportunity to give a very young team a run out, rest senior legs and give Garrick and Wilson a run-out.

I wasn't expecting quite as young a team from what Lowe had said or I wouldn't have predicted a big win, but there's no point in telling the opposition what you are going to is there?

I keep saying this. Wanted it more? Good for them they are welcome to it. This competition is a complete waste of space and worth nothing. The fans think the same generally with only just over 1000 there last night it proves the lack of interest. I hope we lose the rest of the games and Lowe plays the children of the youth team if he can.

Well we presumably got rid of Dom Telford partly to bring in younger legs and he certainly had an impact.

.....and Abraham's was next to useless......under our system of play.....couldn't send him back quick enough.

Abraham was a bit useless full stop. That includes our system of play and probably everyone else's. It's why he is in league two now. Don't forget last night he was playing against our academy and not seasoned players.

Talking of useless I meant to mention previously somewhere that I saw Christian Walton had signed for Ipswich. Have they ever seen him play? I would not want him anywhere near Home Park unless he was in some opposition goalmouth.
