    Great post. There is no shortage of frauds who will tell you they have all the answers, and no shortage of people who will believe one of their choosing, depending on political persuasion.

    You mean a mongrel? Half border, collie half.......?
    I've had two dogs, both mongrels with a bit of border collie. Too clever by half.

    The beautiful Bordernese is a beloved designer canine breed, as these dogs make fabulous family pets. ... The Bordernese is a cross between a purebred Border Collie and Bernese Mountain Dog

    I see. My dogs were also designer breeds........designed by dogs, not humans. A story about how smart the last one was; I was exercising him and my friend's dog in the woods, when eventually I realised there was only one dog, mine. After looking and shouting for the other dog I eventually told my own dog to "Go and find Lucky". He mulled it over for several seconds, then ran off into the woods. A few minutes later he reappeared with a stick in his mouth and Lucky chasing after him to try and get the stick, which he then dropped at my feet. Smart or what?

    Two of my dog walking chums have black labs …. Connie & Fred … Connie's trick is to grab Fred's collar and drag his around the park sideways!

    Putting aside politics, there was an excellent but horrifying report on the C4 news on child sex trafficking between Scottish and English clubs last night, with Barry Bennell at the centre. Part 2 is tonight, and focusses on Celtic, which was at the centre of the Scottish side. Absolutely horrific for the victims, who only wanted to play football, but very illuminating.

    FHB that is truly shocking.
    Those events must be exposed, but I'll confess I can barely stand to watch stuff with content of that nature. The cold, calculated evil of it is horribly disturbing...

    Boris, sort it out

    Come on PM, set up a Department for Simple Common sense Lawmaking.
    Here's an example of what they could do;

    When you're in a hole - STOP DIGGING.
    Pass a simple six word law through Parliament the next time they can be bothered to turn up;

    NO MORE HOMES ON FLOOD PLAINS.

    No loopholes, no excuses. Ban them.
    Never mind about the projects that already have planning permission etc. Let them go.
    But stop any in the future

    Celtic's problems are about to begin, although the process will be agonisingly slow.

    No justice for the 96.
    And no justice for Grenfell;

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51707499

    Immunity from prosecution. What a surprise.
    They are only poor people after all. Nobody is going to answer for it if a collapsing slag tip wipes out your village school, or your relatives are crushed to death at a football match, or your tower block goes up like a giant firework.

    Poor folk in this country don't count. They never did and they never will.

    Yet if you decide that you no longer wish to be a member of the Royal Family, the State will still be expected to pay £20m a year to keep your failed actress wife and her sprog safe from nasty people... where's the equality ?
