Suicide up, life expectancy down, health in decline. Rich-poor divide now off the scale.
We are going down the toilet...

The Bank of England hikes interest rates to 5%

Ever more people are going to lose the roof over their heads.
Two or three more half percent hikes and I'm buggered I should think.
This is way beyond a joke now.
    The UK economy is broken.

Never mind Global Warming and Oil.
If someone is starting up "Just Stop Inflation" I'll grab my viz-jacket.

The working class doesn’t matter , even the middle class doesn’t matter as long as the fat cats at the top can have their 2nd houses , fast guzzling cars , snort coke and shag whatever their preference is that week !

Local councils digitally exclude whole sections of the people they are supposed to look out for...

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-65973853

Personally I detest these parking apps.
I find them slow to use, and I don't want to spend ages hanging around car parks on my mobile.

Many pensioners, plus vulnerable folk and people who don't have/don't like smart phones.
Now they are not going to be able to use car parks.
There should be an alternative scheme for such groups.
Something they can sign up for in another way.

    Oh, the irony...

The Wagner Group mercenary army has apparently turned on Putin.
Their leader claims Russian forces bombed his men, killing thousands.
He has been declared a mutineer.
Reports that Wagner troops have moved into Russia. Russian troops are supposedly preparing to defend Moscow from them.

Early days, but could this be the end for Putin?
Unfortunately there is no guarantee he will be replaced by a more moderate leader.
There are supposedly even more extreme hawks also waiting in the wings...

Hasn't quite turned out the walk in the park Mad Vlad expected when he sent in the tanks. The man clearly has no conscience, so he's quite capable of bombing Russians. The mercenaries and ex-prisoners have been used as cannon fodder, suffering enormous losses at the hands of Ukraine, never mind Russia. No idea what happens now, and the world is watching.

I know the Western World is milking this for all it's worth so it would be wise not to get over excited, but this really does look like a major development.

A convoy of 20,000 Wagner troops just a few hundred miles from Moscow?
    Gob-smacking.
And of course there are huge potential dangers of such destabilisation.

Still, perhaps the Russian People might not be quite so willing to just suck up what State TV tells them in future.
Got to love the stoicism of your average Russian though.

Modern technology, hmmmmm, I agree with you mate, so many people and mainly the elderly must struggle like buggery.
To make things easier hundreds of thousands are badly inconvenienced on a day to day basis.

Prigozhin seems very popular with the Russians; Putin will think twice before having him done in.

    Don't believe everything that's reported.

Prigozhin has been exiled to Belarus, a state very close to Russia, without punishment. He is located near the border with Ukraine. The Wagner troops have been taken back.

Let's not rule out the possibility that this is all a smokescreen and that Prigozhin will be involved in future acts against Ukraine.

    The general mood of gloating among US commentators about Putin's mutiny headaches would have a bit more credibility if it wasn't for this;

    Trump 25.png

The Wagner leader is off to exile in Belarus.
No blood was shed during his coup attempt.

Six people died in the Capitol riots.
And the man who incited it (also a well known pal of Mr Putin) is running for President again.

Check George Galloway in The MOATS Monologue on YouTube for a detailed analysis of the situation. Very interesting.

Hmmm. Why would Putin agree to something which has weakened his authority? His broadcast to the nation threatened brutal reprisals, which he's backtracked on, not the strongman image he loves to Project
