Fair comment. I just post any snippets l find on the team. They seem to be coming from all walks of life at present.
Posted on LFW's about Marti Cifuentes.......... Some new info from today. Meeting tuesday High up on the shortlist He wants the job Compo in the region of 5-700000 pound Comes via a podcast in Sweden from one of their newspapers, so should be credible....... Compensation might be the only stumbling block.......
Just noticed that we’ve gone up a position to sixth (after S’land battered ‘wall the other night). Moving on up already without Beale
Did hear on the radio that Mr Integrity refused to sign his new contract until Rangers had sent the full compo to us, even though they'd try to lowball us and get him for free. Not sure how much, but rumours are £1.5Mill
He does seem good BUT we know he's only showcasing himself for a PL job. Fine if he gives us a couple or more decent seasons. Might even get us promoted.
New manager topic is really hotting-up. Adequate compensation would be the only stumbling block with one or two of the favourites? We're not broke, but what little the R's have must be spent just a bit more wisely after the Judas debacle? Thanks for all the update infos, guys...................
As a former financial guru, I'd say that it would be very surprising if compensation were excluded from FFP. It is an operating expense; irregular but hardly uncommon. The only finessing of the situation might be that we could spread that compensation over the life of the new manager's contract, the same as happens with a player's transfer fee, thereby reducing the impact in any one year. This approach might make for an interesting debate with the auditors but I don't see it being that controversial. However, it sounds like we received more for Beale than we would have to pay for our new man so, all other things being equal, we should be in a better FFP position than we were had Beale stayed.
