Good game between Waterford and Dublin, nice hurling for the middle of feb. The stand out result's for me were London beating Meath by 8 point's and Fermanagh putting up 8-23 which a crazy score for this time of year. Also look's like O Grady will improve Limerick a lot.

It was a good game. Both sides very dogged and determined and wouldn't let it go. Very surprised at Meath getting beatn by so many. It had the hallmarks of a close game but it never worked out that way. Meath had a goal ruled out for some reason .

Wexford will go down on that performance. I never saw the game on saturday evening but I read KK were in great form.

Just finished the dublin game. They were an absolute street ahead.

Its very early doors, but a decent run is not out of the question at all.

The Cork and Galway game was run of the mill league fayre.

Wexford did better than expected against Kilkenny. Do ye think Cork are dark horses for Laim this year? look's like they have a lot of good young player's coming through.

No, i think we are a million miles away at the minute. The skill levels are nowhere near good enough. The insistance on playing Ray Ryan is baffling as well. He is just not up to it. There is a raft of about 5-6 teams all in around the same level. Right now, Dublin are the best placed side to challenge, but that could change very quickly as sides catch up.

I would love to see them do really well. It would be a huge boost for the sport

Yes it would be good if Dublin reached the level where they could contest Leinster and All Ireland title's but I think that could be a year or two away. Imo they should do what they can to get Anthony Daly to stay for as long as possible because he seem's to be good with young player's and Dublin have a platoon of young talent coming through in hurling.

Years of hard graft has led to this. i have nothing but respect for the way they have gone about their business. Its really impressive and in Daly they clearly have a manager who knows his business. I heard an interview recently where I heard that Daly used to approach training by asking what the mood was like. He probably doesn't have to ask any more. He tailors what he does to get the absolute most out of every session.
