In my eyes to be a City supporter you have to in the ground supporting the team. Posting negative ****e on the internet isn't supporting. Do you honestly think that every previous owner of this club have been a died in the wool fully paid up member of the OSC ? You support through thick and thin. Sometimes it's not easy sometimes other people do not understand the meaning of supporter. Thankfully I still know people who do.
Never looked at it that way !! I could certainly do with a few City games to go too.. All these Saturdays can sometimes get boring at times !
Friend of mine text Steve McClaren. Steve text him back saying that he has no interest in the job. You can imagine why.
That's not the point is it ? Everybody on this thread us a City supporter ! Some go more than others ,some do away games nearly all of the time ! Sone might do every game ! Plenty aren't going and you know that reason ! People will disagree on lots of various things ! But everybody is a City fan and have different principles and these are what you are attacking .!
OK I accept that. But I respect the opinion of someone who still does the hard miles and supports the team/club/shirt/badge on a Saturday afternoon then someone who has chosen not too. We've has some right **** over the years following/supporting this club and if we had all took the option of not supporting through the turnstiles on a Saturday afternoon we wouldn't have a club to support today. That's what I think and believe and I will leave it at that. So thanks for the insults. They are wasted on me.
I do think that’s unrealistic to be honest Firstly if the offer / ambition wasn’t right he’d have to give the owners time to respond to what he thought would be suitable before simply walking. Secondly he is contracted until the end of the month. I assume he’s been clear with them that if the offer doesn’t match what he was after then he’d go. So he’d simply wait to see. Thirdly the owners have had plenty of time to know that if their offer wasn’t going to change that they needed to get someone else, and no doubt they’ll have been looking for that. So why wouldn’t he simply do the same, particularly as he, unlike them, wouldn’t be sure they wouldn’t change Fourthly (this list is longer than I expected it to be when I started!) It’s not like he’s walked out of a contract and moved to another club. The owners didn’t give him a contract earlier in the season past the end of this month. All he’s done is work the contract they would give him. No reason whatsoever for him to do anything different, particularly if there was a clause that said he’d have a penalty if he walked before the end of the contract. All this is down to them not negotiating an extended contract earlier. If they had then either he would have signed it, or he wouldn’t and they’d have known months ago they needed to replace him. They think they’re clever doing everything late, but they’re not. He owes us nothing. He was contracted to do a job until the end of the month and in my mind he’s done a good job while employed. I wish him good luck in his next job
Cannot argue with that. It's a dogs dinner from start to finish. I know an offer was on the table and had been for a long time. Obviously not one that Adkins wanted to sign. So we move on I too wish him and Crosby well. We had some good times under them and some very average ones. We could have gone down and we could have gone up, but we stopped where we were. Which in the history of Hull City isn't so bad. ...
You’re full of ****. If you really went you’d know you can’t pay on the turnstiles. You, supposedly, do “pay on the turnstile” & you’re opinion is not worth listening to, which kind of nullifies your point.
Phil. Having read your posts,I can see your point of view.but the fans attending matches will decline until they leave.will each fan leaving cease to be a fan. Point is when new owners come in,will they come back. I will.i remember enthusiastically applauding david lloyd. He looked back at us like we were a bunch of idiots.if the new owners insult the fans I'll walk again. You choose to stay, and as Chaz says i have to respect your commitment
Respecting someones right to carry on going to matches is absolutely correct. Saying others who choose not to are in any way lesser fans, and coming over all superior, is not.
