https://www.cafc.co.uk/news/view/5e830e88a814e/a-statement-from-the-board-of-directors I'll believe this b******* when I see it. SeriouslyRidiculous will be creaming himself with this statement. "Let's see where we are, blah f***** blah".
Anything that should save people's jobs at the Club (at least for a while) should be welcomed, even if it might be open to abuse by the current con-artist 'owners' who may just steal a load more of it. When I criticised the EFL earlier for just paying Nimer and his dodgy associates more money, my real point was they should have done something else about him by now, like declaring that he has failed their tests and his take-over of CAFC isn't valid. Of course we all hope that the staff at the Valley and Sparrows Lane can hang on to their jobs. They have even more to lose than we fans do.
Yes, we would like to believe that. But the EFL player registration ban is still in place. Because there is still no proof of funds. Until that ban is lifted, nothing Tahnoon Nimer says can be trusted or believed.
I don't believe any s*** that is coming out of the club. Have not done for six years come to that. Let's see where we are by the 31st December.
by 31st December we will still be in lockdown... it will be interesting what a lockdown Christmas will be like?
I hope all the back room staff at CAFC can be paid enough to look after their families. If the Club cannot afford to pay them then I think they should be furloughed on the Government scheme, even though to do that is a shameful low point in our history. Matt Southall and Tahnoon Nimer should never show their faces again. The EFL should remove them from their positions and force Duchatelet to take the Club back again. But this isn't about the crooks now. It's about low paid people who have bills and rent due, and food to buy. EDIT: Somebody has told me now that CAFC non-playing staff have already been furloughed.
Yes they have Lardi - Richard Crawley tweeted that all non-playing staff were furloughed and will only be receiving the 80% from the government. Charlton WILL NOT be topping up the 20%.
I'm not surprised. CAFC is well and truly buggered now. Any income it has left is just being siphoned off by the crooks who supposedly own it. I hear Borat (or the other new stooge) has been answering questions, but it's just one lie after another. The only reality is that the EFL embargo is still in place. No proof of funds = nobody can be trusted. When football starts up again this Autumn there will be a dozen or more Clubs already gone to the wall. Charlton will be among them. The leagues will be in a shambles. And they can forget completing the 2019-20 season. How can you finish a league when several Clubs no longer exist to fulfil their fixtures?
Serious question. If Nimer fails to satisfy the EFL with his proof of/origin of funds and you remain under embargo, what will you do next season. Your squad will be extremely threadbare.
No doubt we will lose quite a few games, but no big deal as we will be relegated before the season starts as we will be minus x points.
