greetings, went to the everton game on sat,and was dismayed to find n.c.f.c seem to have axed the goal celebration music. shock/horror!. anyone know why?
never really bothered me that much but it was a tad embarrassing. pretty glad its gone as its not necessary
DM tweeted lots of people complained about the goal music so they stopped it! Now people are complaining because there is NO goal music!
That's the trouble, you can't please everyone. I'm glad they stopped it, but I never complained about it.
I like what they do at Bayern when the stadium announcer says the players first name over the tannoy in a drawn out showbiz fashion and then the crowd shout out the surname multiple times! Sounds great when your there I bet! Really electrifying!
Goal music is naff and embarrassing and invites ridicule from other clubs and the media. Another masterstroke from McNasty to get rid
Heard them do this at Dortmund. Sounds intimidating with German accents/names - probably not so much with English ones.
Hit the nail on the head there, it's like some **** piece of music used in some ****y BBC Holiday/Current Affairs/Consumer rights programme, the ones which make up about 90% of BBC1.
Iiiit's Riiiiiiiiiiiiickkkkkkeeeeeeyy..... Van Wolfswinkel! Vnwolfswnkl, vlfswnkl, vlfskl, vfsl!!!! I like the sound of that.
It might sound OK if you do it like the Dortmund fans (they only shout the surname once, no repeating).
I personally liked the goal music, but thats probably because I can't remember when we didn't have goal music. When was it first introduced?
I'm finding the whole RvW hype a bit embarrasing to be honest. Yes he is a big coup for us and no doubt a quality player with a big future that I am excited to watch, but we have bought several players of his calibre this window - Hooper, Fer, Redmond (as a prospect) and find that the focus on him puts these great signings in the shadows a bit, which isn't really fair. The advertising campaign for the away shirt was a prime example, yeah it was quite cool but it almost detracted from the other signings we have made by putting him up on a pedastal. Of course I won't be complaining if he scores 20+ goals this season, I just don't understand why our other signings aren't getting their share of the limelight Is it just me?
i agree completely, but it is simply down to him having an exotic name. if his name was ricky walker, nobody would give two hoots
